If any of us in the thread has an opinion on those types of threads, it doesn’t matter: what matters is the code of conduct and forum policy.
If someone doesn’t like our megathread and lounge (or any other thread for that matter), it’s very easy to not see it in the general discussion thread feed by simply muting it. It’s an easy process:

I’ve lived in Vegas for 20+ years. There was an intersection where a K Mart, a Target, and a Walmart had their own corners. The Walmart and Target still stand… but the K Mart has been reduced to an abandoned blight for a long time.

There will always be peace and chaos. Life is cyclic in nature. It’s just what we wish to focus on at any given time. The entire world could be peaceful and the mind can then wonder about the chaotic nature of the universe. The entire universe could be peaceful and then the mind contemplates the chaotic nature of itself.

speaking of kidlets, was chatting with my brother just now - who toured with a rock band as bassist and went to college for music - about my daughter (his niece) and her starting her adventure as a drummer this year in school. he asked ‘is she practicing paradiddles?’
I’m not a drummer. i play keys for fun. but i’ve heard that phrase, so i was curious. went in to ask my daughter “you practicing paradiddles?” and she had her toothbrush in her mouth. but just nodded and then started rhythmically tapping out the right-left-right-right, left-right-left-left pattern.
