Can I ask a personal question, why would you want to turn into a dude?
In my experience, males have testosterone that makes them more aggro and violent, and full of ego, and I wouldn’t recommend it,
Females have estrogen and why they can still do bad things when girls go bad, they don’t get angry and violent, they just rob stores, commit fraud, and property crime, it’s still all bad, but it’s not as bad as smashing someone’s head into a wall,
Anyway I should shut up as I know I have a nasty habit of talking too much and pissing you off which I’m sorry about, but I am genuinely curious why do you want to be a guy,
When that happens, it’s not purely because of testosterone. For one thing, women have it too (just not as much). For another thing, the behavior you’re describing has more to do with the way men are socialized. (It’s also dangerous to argue that when men are violent, it’s purely because of genetics: if that’s the case, that means they can’t help being aggro and violent and shouldn’t be held accountable.)
??? I mean…it’s true that more violent crime is committed by men. But women can and do get angry and violent.
This seems like a good time to ask something I’ve been curious about for a while now: what country/culture were you raised in, and where do you live now? I wonder because some of your assertions are kind of odd and seem to possibly indicate either being very sheltered, or having been raised in a more insular culture. (You don’t have to tell me, obviously, but it might help to know that when having these discussions.)
Well first that’s a common misonception made by many because of bad information passes on to them.
I have asked my HRT Drs about this several times and all of them say the same thing. They have no seen any reports about their patients on T becoming more aggressive. That is more a person based thing not a HRT thing.
Hormones are not the primary cause of certain issues such as ones you have lists.
90% of the things you hear about people on HRT are played up on to way too much.
Its like anyone else who gets aggro , accountability and it that is a ver small small side efffect if at all.
I’ve been on T almost 2 years now to become who I knew I should be and not 1 ounce of it has cause aggression to skyrocket. It’s again more individual based on how it will react and is not a 100% sure thing aggression will increase, its very low in fact.
The only time I heard of little hormone hiccups is if it turns out their HRT dose is way too strong. Kinda why they start you off small then observe how you adapt over time. Just to keep an eye out for those said hiccups
Exactly.
And if those start to pop up for any of us T or even issues with E is time to call it in and talk to the therapist involved in care care team when needed and see what if any adjustment should be made.
IE just two weeks ago my Dr said she wanted to increase to 0.5 and I have been feeling fairly much more well mentally(if that makes sense )still fairly “new” to transitioning compared to others I know .
(Side note, you may know me better on Montvischon/Nericaryn)
Yeah its not like people take one shot of T and suddenly go berserker mode like someone on a very specific drug I can’t say here apparently according to the censor. Starts with a P.
Lil funny people think that but eh. Not every naive thought is out of maliciousness. Most of the time a little nudge of “Okay heres how it works” does the job lol
In my head I’ve always been a dude, but I have a female body. That’s why it’s called gender dysphoria. My first memories at 3 years old were of being terribly confused because everyone was treating me like a girl when I knew I was a guy. By “treating me like a girl,” I mean giving me girl clothes to wear (which was a much bigger thing in the 1960’s), putting me in girl groups at the age when little boys and girls prefer to keep completely separate from each other, etc.
Some people deal with it by physically transitioning into the other gender, as much as they can. It’s a very difficult process and not for everyone. For myself, I’ve been living with this disparity between mind and body for 60+ years and I’ve gotten used to it, so I have no plans to transition.
Does that make me “gender queer” instead of trans? I’m not sure–I can’t keep up with the changing vocabulary.
