The folks that worked on the movies were fans. Silent Hill was a rare “good” live action video game movie. I still love it.
The 2nd movie was eh. Gimmicky with the 3D. But I did like the set designs.

After how badly the series has been treated. I’m just a bit overwhelmed but at least its a positive kind. A little anxious and worried. But just happily surprised still.

This is going to be a ramble but it helps me process.
A big reason I am anxious but hopeful. Silent Hill is a series that has eluded me. By the time I could handle horror games, every single time I tried to get a copy of 2 or 3 or even The Room. Even brand new copies would somehow be so scratched I couldn’t play them.
So my love for the series only blossomed because of Lets Plays. And it took a couple years before that became a thing. The first game I actually played was Homecoming. I still like that game. Downpour? Not so much. Anyway.
Silent Hill is just where all my sad, dark memories go. Sometimes revisiting those memories can be helpful even if it hurts. That’s why I like the series. So seeing just how awful Konami treated it hurt. Not even the good kind of hurt. Don’t even get me started on that HD Collection.
This series takes all that sadness and pain and makes something beautiful. Hauntingly so. But after awhile. That part of me just gathered up dust. I focused on other games. Just kinda accepting Silent Hill was gone.
Having that neglected side of myself feel loved just got to me and that’s why my brain is just all over the place. And I’m just scared I’m getting too hopeful. I despise that feeling of hope just because I know I’ll likely be disappointed. I hate that feeling. Its why I don’t tend to handle surprises well. Its all just a bundled up knot of anxiety and a little stupid dash of hope.
My BPD right now is just amplifying that emotion so I’m kinda freaking out. It’ll pass.

I dont know how the impersonation stuff isnt an instant permaban. The mods really just dont care if Talonel or his impersonators stoke hatred against the LGBTQ+ community, I guess.

You can but you need the budget to do it. I’m guessing the WOW movie didn’t have anything close to what Peter Jackson had to make his Lord of the Ring movies.
I enjoyed the clone wars animations very much. If wow serialized their lore into something like that I’d be happy. Not sure if clone wars was high budget though…they sure budgeted in the right places, writers.
Honestly I’d enjoy a clone wars like wow lore show.
