Ugh, the DMV. So I contacted support yesterday and asked what I need to bring to get a replacement real ID. (No idea where it went and it’s kinda a necessary thing and with a panic disorder the DMV is one of my least favorite places)
They told me I need all the documents when I got it originally - Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, and 2 proof of residence. I struggled to find proof of residence.
So I fill out the application online, go in. Talk to the guy at the front, he asks if I have an appointment and if I don’t, scan the QR code and make one say I filled out an application and have a code and it said it serves as an appointment, he takes it.
Now I’m not sure if it’s because I have trouble walking and it’s noticeable or my sister was using her cane, but I sat down and like 3 minutes later, my number is called. The death stares I got from like the 2 dozen people sitting next to us.
Anyway, I get up to the lady at the desk and say I need to replace my ID. She says okay, pulls up my appointment, scans my thumbprint and says that’s all, go get my picture taken at the other counter.
I didn’t need the paperwork support told me to bring.

Then we had to go to the UPS store and ship off my T-Mobile return and hope it arrives in time because I would rather not have to pay off $300 over 24 months for a phone I returned. Lol. All because the T-Mobile store couldn’t process the return due to a computer error the support on twitter said shouldn’t exist as they looked at my account. (It said the phone was part of a promotion but it wasn’t) And they couldn’t process the return manually (AKA ship it for me) without my ID, which is how I learned my ID is missing. You know how awkward it is to go to return a phone and suddenly not have your ID? Probably thought I was trying to finesse them. X_X
Anyway, that was my day and I’m exhausted. This Group Loot drama just made the stressful day worse. There’s more stress on the horizon but I’m trying not to think about it.

Really makes me wish we had a Sclera color option so I could get black eyeballs

My Dracthyr will be 99% named Demidude, because it references my gender identity, and I’ll change the gender in between the 2 depending on how I feel.
Either that, or I’ll call them Fyntabulous or Snarcastic. I haven’t decided.

My dracthyr is named Berlyn after my Tiefling. I’ll have to come up with a few extra names in case they’re taken. ( making a toon to ‘save’ the name feels cheap )
I made myself too curious so brb gonna tinker with the character creation screen again for this

Yeah beta is being a smidge extra laggy. It booted me before I could get to work on the visage form.

I need to get a realid. But to do that I need to get my birth certificate updated.
I have no idea where I put my social security card or my court order for the name change. They’re probably in a pocket in that back off my bedroom door.

What’s a retailid?
It’s the newfangled government ID required to fly and stuff. It has requirements that are a pain in the butt like a certified copy of birth certificate and proof of address and another ID (I think) and social security card. Plus a fee.
So basically, I have to order my old birth certificate ($45 plus the fee to get an affadavit noterized), then I have to pay the fee to update it (I think that’s $60 plus notary fees, possibly ordering a certified copy of my court ordered name change ($40)), then I have to order another copy ($45 plus notary fees). Then I have to pay for the realid itself.
It’s such nonsense.
Dang that’s bonkers.
I think here they call it Real ID or something and here they just ask “hey wanna update it to this while you’re here?”
“Sure!” and you do that when you renew your license. If you did a name change while renewing here I think they ask for those documents etc so they can update the registration / titles and all that.
Hopefully you get it straightened out soon and all that fun happy stuff! 
dang. all I had to so was get my birth certificate for 10 bucks plus the ID fee here.
I’m trans and I got annoyed at my doctor’s autodialer dead naming me. I found out I was eligible for a court fee waiver and just up and changed my name.
But they won’t give me a realid without me updating my birth certificate first. And I should get a copy of my dead name cert just in case before I change it.
