Same. I like his voice too
Id be down to read it.
Helsylvan had a backstory once. He was a farmers boy living in the outskirts before the Scourge came. I wrote this whole horror shpeal for how he returned home but no one was thereā¦ then his father came out of the shadows and lunges at him from behind, killing him horrifically.
My TRP settings got flubbed at some point so all that got deleted and I didnāt have a backup.
āMind you, it was written back in Cataā¦ā
āCharacter Profile: Lady Cyndi Lou Marris Hue The Nobleā
āCyndilou is a newly killed, freshly risen, never even seen the inside of a grave Forsaken, with purple hair, who bathes daily in Mink Oil and Eucalyptus Oil, and Saddle Soap. She is still in good condition, and works hard to stay that way.ā
āShe is a Combat Rogue, that believes in the Code: There is Honor Among Thieves. She regrets being risen, and the things she did under anotherās control, and is working to make up for it.ā
āShe will never betray, or kill her friends, but will gladly kill FOR them. And if someone harms anyone she considers a friend, she will rip their heart out, and eat it in front of them, before dancing on their un-resurrectible corpse with spiked heels.ā
āOn a personal note, she loves moonlit nights, fishing, collecting pets, black roses, monocles, top hats, dressing up, parties, hugs, tinkering, baking cookies, and her Loyal Forsaken Warrior Husband, Horeton.ā

āCyndi Lou Marris Hue The Noble: Undead Shadows and False Promisesā
āPart Oneā
Before all the darkness, before the Lich King tore asunder her world, Cyndi Lou Marris was a brilliant Engineer in training, working on her dream of becoming a Ship Master. A proud citizen of Lordaeron, then a thriving city, and a close friend to Lady Lianne Menethil, and her Daughter, Princess Calia. Cyndi Louās Fiance, Horeton Hue, held a high rank, as a Warrior, in the Army of King Terenas Menethil II. The four of them would often spend long nights, talking about many things. Accompanied by Horetonās wonderful Silverleaf Tea, and Cyndi Louās delicious Chocolate Cookies. As well as making plans for a grand wedding, for Cyndi Lou and her love.
The summer of their planned wedding the trouble started, a plague of evil was claiming all the great lands around. Their fine city was in danger. The Armies rushed around, in preparation against a possible coming attack. The Bonding Celebration date was set, but when the morning, of that fateful day came, the command went out for all to gather at the main gate, to welcome the Returning Prince. But the celebration didnāt go quite as planned. A deep darkness fell over the land, as Lordaeron fell. Betrayed from within, by the Kingās own son, who ran him through, at the steps of the very throne itself, then opened the gates to the Scourge Armies of The Lich King. They were slaughtered, every man woman and child, until the stones ran red with innocent blood.
And the torment did not end there. The Lich King was not satisfied with their deaths, his twisted thirst was not quenched. He raised them up, every one of them, and made mind puppets of them all. Then came the loss of control, and death of their emotions, as he pulled the strings of their very will and bent it to his.
The chilling, manipulating voice that took over her brain, was endless and terrifying. She could never get away from it, and itās bone numbing sound. She suffered, through years upon years of, endless submission, death and dying, only to be resurrected over and over again, by the iron grip of that terrifying voice.
Until one night, on her way back to the dark sinister fortress, that she then called home, the voice began to fade. It became so quiet it was barely audible, then it was gone. The silence that followed was strange, and oddly euphoric. It lasted for only an hour, until she neared the Ebon Hold, where it started to return. āNO!ā Cyndilou shouted to herself, āI like the silence!ā Gathering all her courage, and strength she turned around and fled in the opposite direction, as fast as her stride would carry her.
After many miles, the voice vanished again, but she just kept running, until she could no longer push herself to take another step. She collapsed in the tall grass, by a small lake, exhausted, but finally completely free. Her mind was a sedated blank slateā¦then the wall came crumbling down, and it all came flooding back. The life she had before, the fear upon seeing the rage of the Lich Kingās Army for the first time and the roar that shook Lordaeron to the ground, when their forces hit. The void, the cold, the sinister eternal voiceā¦and finally, the maddening realization of the horrors she had brought upon all that she had ever loved. She struggled, long and hard, to retain a spark of sanity, as it all came swarming deviously back. The pain of the guilt was agonizing, to say the least. Her tears flowed freely, as the faces of the tormented flashed through her mind, like some sick sideshow.
She remembers wandering, dazed and scared, down familiar roads, and through childhood lands, gazing upon one destroyed town after another. Her only desire, to return home, to the safety of the stone walls of Lordaeron.
As she neared her destination, she passed through the main Graveyard, and was confronted by a strange sight. Huge winged spirits, in the form of some kind of angel, were resurrecting dead left and right. As soon as they rose, they were handed a shovel, and sent to work digging up the rest. Suddenly she recalled that horrible day, when she was first brought back.
On that day, when her corpse was first awakened, before she could shake the hazy sickness, that she felt all over from being resurrected, a shovel was shoved in to HER hands, as she was directed towards a field of fresh graves, by one of The Lich Kings Minions, and simply toldā¦āDig!ā Only to find her Fianceās body in the first grave she exhumed. Then His Minions came, and unceremoniously carried off Horetonās corpse, never to be held by her arms again. And the deepest pain of all, was she could not even feel sorrow at seeing him dead.
Shaking off this memory, as best she could, she finished her trip through the graveyard, in tears.

Cyndi Lou looked up as ordered, expecting to see some wicked demon standing in front of her, but instead it was Lady Sylvanas Windrunner. Her eyes hollow, and glowing red, her pale skin cold as ice. Her smile was the only thing that had any spark of life left to it. And with that smile, a brief memory came flooding back.
Long ago, when Cyndilou was but a small child, she was often sent to her Uncleās house, when both her Mother and Father had to work. Although he was her Fatherās Brother, little was known of him. For he kept to himself, living alone, far from the rest of the Family. Occasionally, while visiting Uncle Marris, he would order her to go play in the yard, when a strange, and mystically magic, Lady would come calling. But being the, ever so, curious child, Cyndi Lou would hide in the rafters of the house instead, and spy. She became fascinated by this Dark Elven Lady. One day, her Father was ordered to return to Lordaeron, to work, and her Family moved. She never saw her Uncle, or the Dark Lady again, except in her dreams, until now in these dark, haunted, halls, buried deep beneath the Ruins of her Beloved Lordaeron. And she never spoke of it, to anyone, until today, upon seeing Lady Sylvanas again, as the Banshee Queen.
After a brief moment, the wickedly beautiful form before her spoke, āDo not fear me.ā
Her voice sounded different, like it was buried deep inside, and fighting to exist. She gestured for Cyndi Lou to stand. Rising, brought her closer to those strange eyes, that were now looking straight into hers.
Cyndi Lou looks deeply into those eyes and responds, āI will trust you always, My Dark Lady.ā She follows this with a brief courtly bow.

Cyndi Lou slowly lowered her gaze, as a twinge of guilt stabbed her heart. She looked back up at her dear Fianceās haunted face and whispered, āCan you ever forgive me?ā

āWith my own dying eyes, I watched them end your life. You were standing over the corpse of your beloved King, defending the throne like a berserking Death Knight. It took Arthas himself to stop you.ā

Unseen, she knelt in the shadows, at the mouth of the alleyway. Quiet as the fog, and as deadly as a king viper, she listened to the foot steps drawing slowly closer. Her black leather clothes blending with the night. Twin, envenomed, daggers hanging at her hips, and a powerful crossbow resting on her back. Her well trained rogue senses, and keen eyesight taking in everything. In a couple more minutes, her target would be in sight. She knew his habits, and what path he always took, she also knew she couldnāt take him in the street, help would come for sure. So she had to draw him into the darkness.
As he neared the corner, she moved back a few steps. Staying crouched, and making sure he would not see her, until after he turned off the main street. Her cold, glowing eyes, glistened in anticipation of the coming fight. As he began to turn her way, she had an idea. Quiet as a snake, she reached down and picked up a small rock, and tossed it down the alleyway a few yards. He perked up at the sound of it hitting the ground, and his pace quickened, as he side stepped to investigate. Her plan worked, and he turned his back to her. Stealthed, and silent as the grave, she pulled forth her crossbow and took aim.
Just as she was about to let lose the bolt, someone lit a candle in a near by window, and a beam of light fell on his face. A face which she recognized a second too late, as she watched the bolt leave her crossbow, in horror.

āThe little pieces after the line of XXXXXs are excerpts from later in the story.ā
Holy out of nowhere batman!
I find it odd that anyone would be against stories that speak to various types of people in a video game especially when its a fantasy fictional gameā¦ like skys the limits thereā¦We donāt have to be constrained by our own societies inequalities.
There are so many red flags in this alone that I very much begin to doubt the validity of most of what youāre saying. Especially since you claim to be gay while at various points putting gay into quotations.
We already know not everyone is straightā¦ More Red Flags in this bitā¦ Again I especially like that you put gay into quotations.
Youāre literally devolving into wild rantings and Ad hominem. Not a great look and also red flags thatā¦
ā¦pretty effectively make this entire line unbelievable.
But yeah have a nice day. I recommend you do the following for this thread since its clearly not something you wish to partake in.
https://i.postimg.cc/Pf85L9gX/mutethread.gif
All these steps to go somewhere and you could have been farther standing still.
I doubt they were really gay but if they were then holy crap do they need some therapy for that self hatred
itās a common trend to lash out at video games when you surround yourself with people who preach all high and mighty about keeping politics out of video games (at least until it suits them)
Iām just sick of all that, like imagine being so cloistered and brainwashed that you have to let a gay character stand in the way of enjoying a book or a movie or a video game. must be pretty sad.
the main thing i hate is when we get flak for a movie/book/game being bad. when something is bad with a gay character in it people decide itās solely the gay character that is the problem. Pretty sure some people even try it with Shadowlands. Something along the lines of the story isnāt good because the employees are inclusive or something.
I was told, by multiple people, that I should avoid watching She-Ra on Netflix. I was told it panders to the LGBTQ+ crowd.
Ignoring them was one of the best things Iāve ever done because that show was amazing.
There was so much depth and love poured into some of these characters. Catra, Shadow Weaver, Double Trouble and Lobster Lady, I loved them all. They had more depth to them than anything Iāve seen in a long while.
Iāve never watched it but it sounds like I might have to now XD.
Idc if something is ābadā because I usually still find enjoyment out of it. I enjoy a lot of cringe stuff after all. Iām not looking to consume something that is a flawless masterpiece. Iām just looking to consume something fun and enjoyable lol.
I do this as well also.
Growing up I used to play Spyro the Dragon. Most people remember it as the old school blockbuster PS1 game where youāre running around collecting treasure. It was a kids game.
Then at some point the whole thing gets rebooted to a much more serious story, echoing the Heroeās Tale, the type of Lord of the Rings epic adventure where Spyro now has to find is destiny as the savior of the world.
It was extremely controversial in the fandom. Everything changed, the gameplay was completely different. You werenāt necessarily collecting gems, you were quite literally beating giant monsters into a bloody pulp.
Despite being largely unpopular in the Spyro community, this was a trilogy that I liked infinitely more than the original.
Even the music was so good.
So I never cared much for what was popular or not, I just couldnāt resist, I wanted to totally immerse myself in the fantasy.
those were some of my most memorable moments.
Sounds like me with Silent Hill Homecoming. I actually quite liked that one. Downpour not so much.
Iām well aware of some of the issues with Homecoming. I still remember getting every achievement for it anyway.
For those that donāt play Silent Hill. Homecoming was the first game in the series not made by Team Silent. Instead folks here in the US. Think of it like when people were nervous about the newer american godzilla franchise. ( Edit: Okay it was Origins that was made first. I guess I just mean on a bigger console )
I get why folks didnāt like Homecoming. I guess the family themes resonated with me a little. Abusive parents picking favorites and all that. ( Well in Homecoming its WAY more dark but still )
iāve sadly never had a chance to explore silent hill. it sounds rad.
the abusive parents part reminded me of what i saw in Biohazard. The scene where youāre all eating at the dinner table, and the food is not really food but these globs of rotting death and maggots, and the mom gets angry with you that you didnāt eat it
just the way she screams āHEāS NOT EATINā IT, HEās NOT EATINā IT, JACK!!!ā Like, dang. that part just made me sick
Yeah I tried multiple times in the past to get older silent hill games but I swear I was freaking cursed. I could buy a copy of 2 brand new and itād still end up being so somehow scratched I couldnāt get it to work. Now all the games are too expensive and Iām not getting the remastered collection.
Thankfully fans have been remastering the 2nd game so I hope to someday play it. Iād love to play The Room as well. I like how that game sort of ātrainsā the player to think kinda like an agoraphobe. But Iām a smidge too tired to go into detail about that.
Hehe and yeah the first person pov Resident Evil games really were good at making you grossed out.
Yeah, definitely. It kinda alluded to other things that both my sister and I struggled with growing up. the gross stuff aside i also thought it was really cool seeing so many people meming on Dimitrescu when that came out.
I still have this weird crush on Heisenberg from that game XD
I do wish we got to see more of him but eh. Thatās what fan made content is for lol
This was brought up in a discussion with a few buds of mine.
Should our community focus souley on progressive rights in north america and then move outward or should we focus on global rights, possibly slowing the progress?
That guy just gives me Ardyn vibes from Final Fantasy XV
Didnāt play that one but I know who youāre talking about. He was cool too.
thinks Jack Black mixed with Ozzy
