LGBTQ+ Megathread & Lounge (Part 1)

The point is if you block the road I couldn’t care less what your protest is about.

Support for BLM plummeted after the George Floyd riots. Whatever cause they had was lost amongst the billions in damages, dozens murdered and millions looted.

Not to mention the money scandals.

If I see a protest group on media, or pass by them on my way somewhere, I may or may not take note of their cause and message.

If I am personally inconvenienced by a protest group, I will be far less likely to even consider their cause, as the annoyance overrides the message.

you weren’t going to care what the protest was about anyway

not to mention, protests are supposed to be disruptive. if they weren’t, if everyone stayed on the sidewalks and didn’t violate noise ordinances and just held up some signs, do you think that would effect any kind of change?

No it wasn’t. The “damages, dozens murdered and millions looted” was not done by BLM, it was done by other people taking advantage of the chaos.

BLM were the people the next morning out on the streets sweeping up the mess.

“Yeah, and they, the people taking advantage of the chaos, did that so the REAL reason, of BLM, would be lost in the confusion. They wanted to taint the cause.”

Its almost like there was a common theme where the protests that had 0 issue, and the ones that went awry had something in common

Perhaps something like right wing groups (proud boys/boogaloo boys/cops) showed up and instigated stuff

You know this for a fact or your just making it up? BLM has their position and there are people who believe in BLM everywhere. Inner city crime is another matter and it has been ever since there were cities.

“I was agreeing with you, that it wasn’t BLM that was causing all the trouble.”

Everyone blocking traffic in Canada was there for the protest. Everyone breaking into the Capitol was there for the protest. What other motive could they have had?

But inner city violence happens for any number of reasons. It always has, ever since there were cities. A lot of it today has to do with drug trafficking and organized crime. There is little evidence connecting inner city violence to BLM.

Ok then, sorry I missed that point.

Bleh. Struggling with a few of the big end game monsters in sunbreak.

For the other players of that series. I like using the bow. But I don’t have the bow charge decoration yet that you can get now instead of wearing that stupid feather.

So now I’m just dealing with that “am I really just bad at this game?” doubt. It’s dumb and invasive but its there.

I know it’ll pass but it still sucks to feel that with a game you really enjoy.

Anyway since ya’ll were sharing music

I think your post is an over generalization. You obviously don’t like “right wingers” what ever that means, but it should be obvious to anyone that the BLM protests and riots were unpopular to a huge swath of the population, hence why no one talks about them anymore. This is also true about the “trucker idiots” that you obviously also don’t like.

People have varied and complex opinions beyond your limited understanding of them, which is obvious considering what you’d just said. :slightly_smiling_face:

I’ve already answered this. Actually, I answered this question twice.

I didn’t say it did. This is a bit of a conflation.

Well, the people protesting generally do. And protests work really well.

Yeah, this is exactly right, and it also applies to the truckers as their popularity also slowly declined over the weeks and months, until finally a majority said enough was enough.

This is exactly true. Protests generally occur when an individuals or groups lives have been disrupted, so it’s a fair point to make other people stop and notice an injustice. Trucker or BLM or any other stupid or justified thing people protest or get worked up about.

This is… basically… hogwash and wishful thinking. Some BLM members were terrible people, some were fantastic people. But to assume that NONE of them had ANYTHING to do with the violence or vandalism is just incredibly absurd.

I could respond to more posts, but they keep going on like this… tribalistic, narrow viewed etc. etc.

Yall still dragging out political talk… give it a rest. I know asking won’t make it stop but i can try.
