I’m a light sleeper and despise being startled awake. That is like instant panic attack for me. I can only really sleep thanks to medicine. So if I get startled awake it’s reaaaaaaaaally hard for me to fall back asleep. Since I can’t double dose my meds. ( well i shouldn’t I mean )

As far as the streamer drama is concerned…
I am finding it ironic that people are basically witch hunting the Blizzard employee when I get the feeling that the crowd making all the noise is the same crowd that usually whines about sjws and cancel culture. Especially when they are acting egregiously themselves.

They’ve been at this for a while. Arenanet gave into them and fired one of their I think quest or story devs for an exasperated tweet these gators latched on to, and they’ve been chasing that dragon ever since.

Today I saw a self-proclaimed transwoman complain about the LGBT “agenda” and compare someone saying something not nice about a certain streamer to racism/antisemitism/etc.

Same one making up stories about how some “big name” person that isn’t a big name at all got them blacklisted for not “carrying” somebody through a dungeon?
Also, they finally fixed it and I can post on my main again. Tempted to go back to a “proxy” though because I am 100% not an orc player.

I swear, everytime people say “this community and streamer is toxic” people come in and prove the point en masse.

I’d make a master thread for all things related to that streamer so it would stop flooding the forums but it’ll be reported and maybe banned so nah. Someone else can stick their neck out.

to me hatred is hatred whether your a trans woman or a streamer receiving it
and really you can only be for or against it
I don’t really agree that homophobic/transphobic behavior and criticizing a streamer with a history of boorish behavior like promoting harassment against various groups of players and excessive use of slurs and bullying are the same.
Homophobic/transphobic behavior is directed at a group of people just because of how they were born. The recipients are not necessarily guilty of bad behavior.
The ‘hate’ I’ve seen the spam encouraging streamer cause is reactionary in response to his behavior and the behavior of the followers he sends to spam the forums. Harassing RPers, harassing people for having 6 month subscriptions, publicly mocking other players excessively, repeated use of slurs, his constant outrage sending his followers to spam, the list goes on.
It’s perfectly valid for people to not like someone who has done all of the above for years. It’s a case of his behavior biting him in the bum.
If someone consistently sows bad seeds, eventually they’re going to have to reap what they’ve sown.
It’s not hate to criticize chronic bad behavior or think someone who is guilty of bad behavior is a jerk.
