Aw man that’s a bummer. My Doctor was quick to work with me after I came out. Heck they get my name / gender right more than my Mom.
Mom’s excuse is it’s too difficult yet she hasn’t tried in over 5 years. Mhm. Real difficult when you never actually try. -_-

Man, and I got frustrated when I worked a call center for a hotel chain and had to fix people’s names when other agents just spelled what they felt like spelling, it seems baffling to me that working in the medical field people would be that lazy/ignorant too.
This office asked me what my gender identity was and had a slot for a preferred name. It’s like holy crap what’s the point if you ask for a preferred name and ignore it?

I still have to use my deadname for paper work since I haven’t had it legally changed yet. But thankfully the nurses and other folks know my preferred name.
( Okay I admit it’s also nice my doctor calls me my preferred name and gender all while being ridiculously cute )
Jeeze, that’s a great way to get off on the right foot with people. It’s bad enough when someone on the phone doesn’t bother say checking what spelling of a name someone uses, but to ignore gender info that’s already there on screen? I’m too naive as while I completely get that people do that, it makes absolutely no sense to me WHY someone would do that.
I emailed their info line today asking for information on how to file a grievance since it’s not on their website.
I’m mad enough that they say they’re uNcOmFoRtAbLe continuing my HRT.
I’m going full Karen on them getting my name wrong again and again. Even my dad doesn’t do that.
