Friendly reminder Gina Carano is at best a B tier actor, was repeatedly warned about her bad takes, continued to post them and then was ‘shocked’ when her employer decided enough was enough.
Even very basic retail jobs have social media policy governing what is/isn’t acceptable online behaviour. I’m unsure why she’s so special

Hello again! I tried to get a bunch of free samples and the only things that actually came were depends, which I learned is adult diapers and not underwear. Anyway, now I have a bunch of adult diapers.

Nah they can do plenty wrong as I dont like govt as a whole left reaching too far and right does nothing but use taxpayer money for themselves. Power should be more for the people as a whole.
But I dont feel a need to base ones guilt on assumptions or making comparisons of violence upon eachother. The division in this country could lead to something just as bad as a genocide or unneeded death that could be avoided if people would stop throwing mud and false accusations at eachother find common ground and not act like a royal D to others with questions and opinions that dont follow your own.
I’m willing to take the step and understand others but youd rather call me any liberal hated buzz word under the book so how does that fix the divide and hate and strife?
How can that bring any semblance of normalcy or unity if your only way to push your opinion is as you have been doing thus far?

I’m sorry but the common ground idea is a fallacy because it assumes both sides have valid and moral stances. Only the left does.
I’m not interested in fixing the divide because I know people on your side can’t be reasoned with, they’re too far down the qanon conspiracy cult 45 rabbit hole to be reached.
I’m interested in seeing my side take over and ram through real change and protections for black, brown, and LGBTQIA+ people.
My way is the way. I don’t care about unity with unreasonable bad people.
At the end of the day, my life will go on with or without you snapping back to reality and becoming a decent person. You’re some random wrong person on the internet.
The rightists have never had any empathy for me as a trans person, or for anyone really. If I was on fire they’d throw gasoline on me. I owe them nothing.
Debate assumes that both sides have valid stances. Anti-lgbtq stances are not valid or reasonable.
I don’t believe in building bridges or compromising with unreasonable anti-lgbtq people.
Anti-lgbtq people deserve to be outcast. That’s the only way they’ll learn—consequences.

So here is a topic to ponder. Elliot Page and The Umbrella Academy. How hard will it be for him, now that he has transitioned, to come back and play the part of Vanya (who is, as far as I am aware, still a woman)? I would think there would be a lot of uncomfortable dysphoria related to going back and playing the part of a female again after transitioning to male. Do you think the producers should change Vanya to a man or trans-man or keep Vanya as a woman? He said when he came out that it wouldn’t bother him to return to play Vanya but that was before he got top surgery. I’m just thinking if I was in his shoes, it would be super difficult for me to go back and play a woman after I’ve done so much medically to transition to being a man (I’m not referring to the fact that he’s always been a man, I’m referring to the changes to his body to become masculine instead of feminine). I realize that actors and actresses have played opposite sex roles for centuries, but those actors from the past weren’t trans.

I admire Elliot Page a lot because he has always been able to hop into the role of his character. I don’t think they will change Vanyas sex, but I do hope that Elliot gets continual support from the crew and the audience when he dives back into her arc.

It generally has to do with the fact, that we as human beings usually pick up on visual cues as to whether someone is a male or female. The reason people have pronouns in their bios and what not, is because they are what that pronoun entails. What Gina Carano did was, according to some members of the LGBTQ community, offensive and a mockery of the hardship they already faced in day to day life, where some trans people who have not or do not want to fully transition, and thus, while identifiying with the opposite gender they still have physical traits most common in a specific gender.
You probably know of the dread when thinking about how other people perceive you and how you want to be perceived, personally I do not, but it is a fairly normal thing. For a trans person this also includes day to day misgendering. So the act of sharing pronouns serves a purpose in the online community.
I believe that is the gist of it, I could be wrong.
To the more sad part though, I do agree with you that Gina Carano is not transphobic, and I believe people today have a tendency to apply malicious intent to a statement, rather than just think that they didn’t know better - not everyone interacts with trans people every day so it should be understandable that people would be ignorant. From what I understand though, it seems that some of the LGTBQ community have personally went after Gina Carano and told her to add pronouns to her bio, and she responded by doing so.
It wasn’t a power move and certainly not the best course of action, but I understand her position and I understand why the LGTBQ community felt she was being offensive. But as I understand it, it was not Gina’s intention to make a mockery of the overall community, but to respond in kind to the trolls that personally went after her.
