Mulan was interesting. It was not so much a recreation of the og cartoon as much as it was a complete reinterpretation. i didn’t mind it that much honestly, it kept me entertained and we watched it together when i got it for my mom on mothers day a couple something years ago and we watched it together.
my only criticism is just how Disney has to go out of their way to make everything absolutely picture perfect. There’s one scene where, I can’t remember specifically if it was Mulan or another lady, but she had a beautiful flowy dress and gets knocked out of the sky, and as she fell and hit the floor the camera pans out and the dress is all nicely and neatly placed around her to make the shot look all perfect and idealistic, when in reality if that really happened that dress would probably be a lil scrunched up in some places.
that was really the one thing that stood out to me as being kinda goofy, but i still enjoyed the move
