The thing is what is there to pander? There has always been a significant amount of LGBTQ+ folks playing the game and we’ve been having characters like Flynn since BfA. It’s not like Blizz really stood to gain a significant amount of new players through such questlines where I can bet you that most people can’t even remember the names of the characters.
I often find that the simplest explanation is the most suitable, and that is that the writers just had more free reign to write quests like that.
Now if the question is about quality, then yeah. I didn’t find those stories very interesting. Flynn is still top dog.
