Hey y’all. I was just wondering. Does anyone know if there are many LGBT characters in WoW? I know there’s Pelagos and Keda Bloomblade in Stones, Moss, and Tears who count as trans representation, but what about gay, lesbian, or bi representation? I haven’t seen very many (or if any) confirmed cases of it yet.

In Shadowlands there’s Thiernax and Qadarin in Ardenweald, who are a married gay couple. Margrave Sin’dane’s “favorite consort” was a woman. Flynn Fairwind is bisexual. There are several minor characters in game either confirmed or implied to be LGBT, such as Enchantress Ilanya and Priestess Driana in Legion. Shadows Rising has a scene with a human man lamenting the loss of his male lover, as well as a scene of Talanji granting royal consent to a pair of young Zandalari noblewomen to marry each other.

Before the Storm has a human male and a Forsaken male at The Gathering who are implied to have been in a romantic relationship prior to the Third War.

General Rakera and Battlegraud Kaja from the voldun quests. If it is not official they are heavily queer coded. Also my vote for best couple in wow

Oh yeah, those two are definitely either a romantic couple or really close friends. Kaja’s devotion to Rakera goes way beyond what would be expected if she were just a particularly loyal soldier, and her reaction when Rakera doesn’t remember her is telling. I love that we see them together again later.

I was curious if that was a true same sex couple or just close friends. Although I guess we will never know unless golden answer.
On that note. There was also that woman from Boralus who has you find her locket with a picture of another woman on it.
The Nightborne female is attracted to Tyrande, if the joke is canon. Similarly, one of Tyrande’s easter egg poke quotes implies that she’s attracted to you, regardless of gender. Oh my, don’t tell Malfurion.

Either that or she’s just being nosy in the manner of one noble inquiring about another.
Or maybe given the history of War of the Ancients slash fic involving Tyrande and Azshara might have been the hot literary seller a century or so back.
I doubt it if only because was a nobody from some backward province(yes I would expect Azshara elite would consider Suramar a backward province)
