LFR VS Normal

I was wonder why so many are against LFR for can and tried locking difference.

"LFR is the easiest and is meant to be queued for like dungeon finder. The default size is 25 and you have a chance of getting loot from each boss once per week.

Normal raid is the next difficulty level. Some guilds will run this but I view it as the pug friendly difficulty. For that you’ll want to look for a group under premades–> BFA raids then search for (Normal) to find all the normal raids currently running. The raid size is “flex” meaning a group can be as small as 10 or as big as 30. The bosses health and damage scale dependent on size of your group. You have a chance at loot from each boss once per week."

It seems to me most you dont even do normal or consider normal a pug which to me is just like LFR. So only reason you want to force people to do normal is because you think you’ll make new friends. So just reminder to those that are so animent on thinking non LFR creates a social setting that will create a utopia of new player to play with you are wrong. You will not make new friends.

SECOND i have read forums and all see is people complaining of bad players or not enough well wait till all those bad player from LFR and PUGS come join your groups. Some of you YES that’s what i want more raider no what Your going to get is still a lot player who don’t want be your friend or want to raid again it will be a failure.

This is an oxymoron because pugs are inherently unfriendly

There is nothing friendly about pugging, pugs are toxic.

A clever way of saying you want a certain mount to be in LFR because you dont want to do it in normal.

Not all PUGs are created equally. It’s not about whether you need an organized group vs. a pug, it’s about the people in the group knowing the fights and executing mechanics… A pug can do it, sure, but some people just don’t invest time to learn how to do the fights and they are the ones complaining that even normal is too hard.

True, however there are breakpoints in raid size and sometimes the difference between 14 and 15 players is more impactful than the difference between 13 and 14 players, for example.

It most certainly is not. LFR mechanics (usually in the first wings, at least), can often be ignored as long as a few people know what they’re doing. In normal, often, this is not the case. Additionally, anyone can join LFR and ride along. The same is not true for normal which has a raid leader who can cherry pick group members and may weed out people without experience within the raid.

When and where you “make new friends” is up to you, really. You can always request to bnet friend good players to play with again. Worst that can happen is they decline.

Random pugs has never been the recommended way to make friends. Join a guild.

gonna have to say screw it and join a guild again. i hate having to pug everything

My cat could complete Normal by walking across the keyboard.

No one thinks normal is hard. It’s the thoughts of dealing with pugs.

“Well just join a guild”

  • not as easy as you think when a lot of us cannot commit to a raid schedule.

Ill get it, but I’ll hate every moment of it.

Raiders seem to be getting off on people suffering through their snorfest game mode.

Most guilds raiding normal mode don’t ask for 100% attendance. Because of its flexible raid size, players can join when available. The same is true for heroic, but there, guilds probably expect some minimum gear level from attendees so if you didn’t keep up in normal, you may struggle to be invited to the heroic raids. Unless you’re a tank, usually, guilds will accept players with irregular availability.

Hopefully I can find one of those

LFR wins

Fatality

I don’t think players that struggle to find normal groups will be in my heroic or mythic groups :man_shrugging:t3:

There multiple options from joining a guild to joining a raid community that doesn’t even have attendance requirements.

If you don’t want to put forth the smallest effort I don’t really have sympathy for you.

Whats your game mode?

So 1 or 2 bad experiences means the entire thing is not worth doing?

By that logic I can’t eat at any restaurant or even at home

Good news is my diet will be a success

No. I just hate lazy Entitled Casuals who wants everything handed to them with zero or less effort.

Incorrect. Yes Normal is more pug friendly but still a lot different than LFR. LFR is tourist mode. Normal mode, you actually have to pay attention to mechanics. LFR you can afk auto attack, stand in stuff and live. Normal you absolutely can’t do this. Also, some normal modes aren’t all that easy. This tier for example, normal mode definitely was more challenging than the other normal modes this expansion.

But, normal mode actually gets you started in actual raiding. LFR is a joke. Now, I am not ripping on anyone who only does LFR as I think it is very needed in the game and great for the game. I have known people who came back but didn’t want to raid but only just see the content and get some gear and LFR did exactly that for them. So I am not dissing people who do LFR but it doesn’t mean it isn’t a joke. Like I said, you can afk and auto attack and stand in stuff and still be fine and win. As long as there is a small handful who are actually trying then it is easy.

I would say the same for Normal to Heroic too. There is a big difference and heroic is definitely harder. Just because you may clear normal and know the fights doesn’t mean Heroic is going to be easy then. Then Heroic to Mythic is a big jump as well.
