That’s what I am doing… LFR alt needs gear and therefore can get mog.
Yeah. I’ve had the LFR set basically finished for a couple weeks now thanks to an alt. Between running the raid itself (which only takes a couple hours on Tues), running 4 m+ for those two vault slots, and the catalyst, it’s not hard to put the LFR set together.
It’s just a matter of how much time you can actually devote to doing that (in addition to the time you spend on your main)…since I understand that not everyone can no-life the game to the extent that a loser like myself can.
You’re not a loser for playing and enjoying the game. I don’t have time to alt a second paladin on top of what I do with raiding and other content in the game (and irl of course), but if you do then that’s your solution to this issue there’s no problem with that.
However for a lot of people getting the lfr tints is very annoying. If you are raiding mythic, why aren’t you just granted the appearances of the other sets? Mythic raiding is barely rewarding at all anymore, but that would be pretty nice at least.
The other option is wait 6 weeks for catalyst, then another 6-7 weeks to get all the charges for the full lfr tier appearance while also spending time farming low level m+ to get the pieces to catalyze. This is a terrible solution though, it’s a fine solution if you don’t raid at all, but if you’re already doing the higher difficulties you should be given the easier difficulties appearances now that we are unable to roll need on items in lfr with higher item level imo.
It would defeat the purpose of every difficulty having a different tint. It’s also one of the reasons they’re probably never going to implement a dye system. Different tints of sets is a way to incentivize you to run different content. They aren’t just going to toss that out on a whim.
Except if you have anything better than LFR tier you’re not incentivised to run different content to get the other style, youre incentivised to make another char of the same class you’re otherwise never going to play and roll need on everything in Lfr until you have everything.
Alternatively you burn your catalyst charges that you probably still need making Lfr tier…
Use the creation catalyst on low ilvl gear.
I’ve used it once on 447 legs.
Still need to use it on.
450 legs
450 boots
447 gloves
447 wrist
437 → 441 belt
437-> 441 cloak
To gear my char / finish the mythic set
Then id need 9 more weeks to do the lfr set
