The big upcoming Legacy of Arathor patch seems to be the midway point of the expansion, which traditionally is the point where we’ve gotten LFR queue for past raids, but I haven’t seen anything to indicate we’re getting an LFR queue for Dragonflight raids.
Is this something we will get later on in the expansion in a different patch, not planned for the expansion at all, or is it just not on the PTR but will be launching with the upcoming patch?

Yes pls. A whole bunch of us have been waiting for DF legacy loot to kick in as well as LFR NPCs.
Welp, it doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen this patch.
Hopefully it’ll be before season 3, or at the very least before Midnight comes out.
if i remember correctly, legacy loot didnt unlock for shadowlands until The War Within started, so that was over a full expansion before legacy loot became available. If that has always been true, then we wont see legacy loot from DF until midnight starts.

You are correct in that the 2 expansion rule is in effect for legacy raid loot, but that is different from when LFR queue is implemented.
In Dragonflight, the LFR queue for Shadowlands was implemented in season 2, patch 10.1.5 (My guild did transmog runs in it to get the max loot drops from it since it wasn’t legacy loot yet)
But now in The War Within we have not followed that, which is why I’m curious if they’re going to wait for Season 3 (or 4 if they do another Awakened style thing), or even Midnight for an LFR queue for the DF raids
Yes, SL legacy loot didn’t kick in until the TWW prepatch. However that doesn’t really mean anything anymore due to the fact that BfA legacy loot kicked in during the middle of SL in patch 9.1.5. Which means there is now precedent for legacy loot to be introduced within the middle of the next expac rather than waiting for the entirety of the next expac to finish.
Considering the fact that we are now basically at patch 11.1.7, I’d say it’s time for DF legacy loot to be patched in.
