LFR problem

How many times have you joined a lfr and find out it's in progress and you miss the first boss? I only do lfr and that is only 1 or 2 times every 2 or 3 weeks. I have been locked out twice in the last 2 months.

Just re-queue and do the bosses you missed.

you can’t unless you want a lockout ?

instead of making my own thread, I just wanted to add my obnoxious comment.

was talking to some OG friends Irl that played vanilla wow & BC and they agree 2 things ruined the game for them. LFR and transmog.

If you didn’t kill the first boss of the wing, and you requeue, you will get a fresh instance. The only problem is when you get ported to the instance while the fight is in progress. Then you get locked out even though you couldn’t get into the fight.

Why does this comment sound like something Ion would say?

Humm… this has to be trolling. How can transmog ruin the game? What, you don’t like how someone else looks? People get mad over that?

Same with LFR. Completely optional content you don’t have to do but somehow ruins the game for you.

Honestly I kind of get where they’re coming from. In vanilla everyone pretty much looked like crap unless u were decked out in a full set. Now a days you can be lvl 20 wearing greens but have it mogged over as a full set looking like a raider when all uve done is kill wolfs and murlocs for an hour.

Its kinda different now that there’s so many old sets and its low level content but I still understood their view.

If you’re level 20 you can only mog gear that is lvl 60 and under I believe. Once you’re 61 then gear up to 70. You can’t be 20 and mog current content raid gear.

But still, it doesn’t do anything to effect the game in any way, that is unless you’re hard core RP person, then you might get a little upset over how someone else appears.

You know derailing a thread in this manner is really obnoxious and tacky.

I have a fix for this and it works great, I just raid normal and heroic.

Yes, but that’s not the question.

I haven’t had it happen to me in months but I haven’t been doing LFR consistently either.

I imagine it might be happening more now that they made LFR more difficult again for some unknown reason and people give up and leave in the middle of a wing.

So the game was ruined for them when features were added after they quit playing?

  1. Getting put in at a later boss in the wing does not lock you out from the bosses you missed. You just have to queue again to get the bosses you need. You will still be eligible for loot as lockouts are on an individual boss-by-boss basis.

  2. They haven’t tried to “fix” this annoyance because the alternative is showing players how many bosses are down before they accept the queue. That’s how it worked in Cata, and runs would quite literally sit for over an hour then die off if a tank left because no tank would bother joining on the last boss when they can just cancel and queue again and get a fresh queue in < 2 minutes.

I don’t agree in the least.

I guess then it was bug. I have been playing for a bit now and until bfa I never had it happen to me. It may have been my addons.

The guy trolling this thread is named “Chad”. I want you all to reflect on that for a moment
