LFR pro people, tell me why you don't do at least normal raids at content

Addressing this now:

you can’t say “because AOTC”, those are groups that hides the raid leaders own progress, not to mention that only reflects heroic only, anyone asking for that on a normal raid, that’s not a good raid to even join

I can guarantee you 9/10 pug raids if the raid leader ask for AOTC doesn’t even have it themselves

Now that’s addressed:

Say you have a 9-5 job, you get home at 5:30-6, you have 3-5 hours to do whatever till you sleep for the next day

You spend majority of free time in queue in those 4 wings, you then wipe at certain bosses because people can’t do mechanics/refuse to learn

You then log out for the night unable to kill a certain boss because refusal of mechanics by some people

You then log on the General Discussion forums and rant about how lfr N’Zoth is too hard and demand to nerf it even more

Yet if you had just signed up for a normal run, without any raid restrictions, you could have gotten not just better gear, but actually cleared the raid in the same amount of time you could have spent in LFR

“But I don’t use discord”

Doesn’t matter, some groups do a run without using discord, especially for normal

“But toxic people”

Can guarantee you the only toxic groups you’d join are the ones whos asking AOTC on normal when that isn’t really necessary to join said group

There’s guild runs that still attempt normal, as long as you are properly geared and actually try, they’ll keep you around in their guild run

If you cleared a normal run, then you can try heroic since they’ll be looking to see what you did in normal.

This “I can’t do normal/heroic because I need AOTC” doesn’t exist, because guild runs that take a couple of pugs will gladly take you as long as you are playing as a team in the raid.

I pay 15 dollars so I deserve those shiny gears handed out to me. I should be given mythic gears too because I pay for my sub.

/sarcasm.

I probably should be a LFR raider, but I still managed to at least do heroic every tier this xpac. So I don’t know why people wouldn’t at least do the easier (Normal) difficulty. It’s not like it’s a huge time commitment.

For some fights LFR is harder than normal lol

The gear upgrades and benefits that go from LFR to Normal are not nearly high enough. There’s no reason to put in more time and effort for a small jump in reward.

I personally think they need to just merge LFR and normal at this point, and find an appropriate difficulty for those bosses. There’s really no point in having both anymore as 99% of raiders just start with Heroic now and the ones that don’t do LFR or don’t raid at all.

I think a lot of people fall outside your box of perfect assumptions.

edit for clarity.

If you sit in some of those players’ shoes, you will get tired of constantly wiping on LFR due to stubborn people. On top of that, the gear you are getting is becoming not worth the effort. Thats how they ended up with Normal and Heroic kill.

LFR is a miserable experience. I honestly cant find a single thing about it thats appealing. Its not like its any harder to find a normal run. I guess you have to run there on normal? Maybe people are too lazy to leave town?

Quit reflecting about yourself.

I feel like this is just the daily post from Clark to stroke his ego and offend as many people as possible but I will bite.

I don’t trust the general player base to fairly organize groups, for rewards that are not better enough than LFR to warrant the usage of my time. Also normal doesn’t have determination.

Your argument assumes that I want to be running normal raids at all.

I. Hate. People.

The fact that I have to tolerate them to see the story at all is already a crime, but forcing me to tolerate them while they judge me and decide whether or not to grace me with the privilege of being within their raid group is even worse.

I queue for LFR. I do my job. I see the story.

I get what I want out of it, and it spares me from having to put up with asterisks like you.

Probably because all of his posts are trolls in the form of dead horse topics meant to goad other players.

I don’t like raids.

I’m just lazy. I did join a group and got 7/12 but they stopped early and I haven’t tried to finish yet lol.

How is this post affecting any one else?

I feel like you might get more enjoyment out of a relaxed Normal raid. At least you most likely wouldn’t have to deal with people for as long. Because let’s be honest, there’s no ‘Get in, get out’ when it comes to LFR. You didn’t include the 8000 wipes. Per boss.

If I had to guess one reason is it comes down to not being able, for whatever reason, to being able to commit to a specific time weekly to do raids but still wanting to see the content and play a game they enjoy. This is only one possible reason and I’m sure there are other legitimate reasons. As LFR doesn’t hurt to have in the game and brings some people enjoyment I’m all for it existing. As with anything in this game, it’s your choice to do the content. If you personally don’t like it (and I mean the royal “you”) you don’t have to do it. But for those that do, I say let them enjoy the game the way they like.

I’ve played this game long enough to know that if a single other human gets to decide whether or not I’m in their group, I’m not getting in their group.

Which is why I prefer LFR and LFD, where a single other human doesn’t get to decide whether or not I’m in their group.

Sometimes you can spend hours finding a pug.

You don’t alway want to play your best alt, sometime you want to play the one that you are bad with and still learning how to play without being judged.

You don’t have time for a group to form so that 1 person leaves after 1 wipe. This system can be automated for you and you just afk wait or keep picking up herbs.

You don’t have to deal with a raid leader’s Ego.
