Not sure if I’m just not understanding, but zoning into the Nightspire wing using the new LFR solo play, I can’t reach the Shattered Walkway where Krosus is. I confess I never did the raid when it was current content; I am doing it now for the Direbeak mount. I can’t seem to reach Krosus however. The door leading to where he is on the map is closed and I see no other way beyond it.

I ran into the same thing. I think in LFR you have to kill Tichondrious first. He’s up the stairs on the western side. Once I killed him, the door to the Shattered Walkway was open.

LFR forces you do bosses in a linear path, even if on normal to mythic, you can do those bosses in any order.
So for this wing of Nighthold LFR, you need to do Tich first before you can do Krosus. Likewise, you have to do Eonar before portal keeper in the 2nd wing of ABT LFR.
