Oh really? Where is this option that lets me create a brand new level 70 character from day 1?
This. Queued content is like a box of chocolates.
Dont like it, do premades where you can filter out the things you dont want

They need to learn to tank somewhere”?
Well. . They do, though? How are you gonna learn to tank a raid without tanking a raid? Its LFR. No one is expecting 480 tanks to rush a LFR carry for. . Fun? Nah, let people learn raids and other things in low stress environments without being jerks.

How does a DPS and healer learn? Do they make a level 70 character on day 1 and join up to LFR and say “Please teach me how to play the game”. No they do not.
Considering you get a “Raid Ready” boost with the expansion pre-purchase, this is very possible today. They are sold the idea that they can make a level 70 and get into a raid on day one. Don’t do LFR if you don’t want to deal with beginners.
the bloody boost token you get from preordering the next expansion

Where is this option that lets me create a brand new level 70 character from day 1?
It’s called a boost. And they come with the pre-order expansion.

How did you learn how to tank?
By swapping to tank spec and killing some overworld mobs, reading my spells, hitting a training dummy, reading some guides, asking for help outside of LFR. There are many ways someone can learn to play the game.

By swapping to tank spec and killing some overworld mobs
This doesnt teach you to tank since healers and squishy clothies can so this

That means nothing if you don’t get to apply it in a real situation.
Are you just bored and trolling?

There are many ways someone can learn to play the game.
And one of them is LFR. Go run Normal and stop with bad posts.

the bloody boost token you get from preordering the next expansion
You mean the boost that came out over 12 months after Dragonflight was launched? That’s not day 1, that’s day like 400.

That means nothing if you don’t get to apply it in a real situation.
That means a lot more than joining a group without even knowing what your spells do or any of the basics of your role.

How does a healer learn?
Um as far as i know, they create a character get to level 10, and queue content, All the way to 70, know nothing about healing, because things die too fast for most groups to need healing, join LFR not knowing much, and learn in a trial by fire.
Killing open world mobs is not even close to the same as learning how to tank in environments that require even some sort of coordination.
I can go smash OW on a BrM doesn’t mean I’ll know what its gonna be like in a raid. Where would I go for that beginner experience? Ah, right, that would be LFR.
not to mention the tank swap you need to do and move from bad spots or placing the boss in the right spot

That means a lot more than joining a group without even knowing what your spells do or any of the basics of your role.
All I hear is “Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah”. My point still stands.

You mean the boost that came out over 12 months after Dragonflight was launched? That’s not day 1, that’s day like 400.
This is probably the most nonsensical thing I’ve read today. No one cares when the boost came out. It’s existed to run Amirdrassil LFR.
Do you ever have any logic in anything you ever post?
you can buy the 70 boost token right now

That means nothing if you don’t get to apply it in a real situation.
Wait so that youtuve rabbit hole i went down about quantum physics doesnt suddenly make me a physicist!?
Im shocked i tell you! Shocked!
Much of this thread has ignored the root question of the OP, which is in these bolded parts:

I’m going to say this, no one joins group content and goes “Guys, it’s my first time here and playing Demo” and expects other players to give them the run down of how to play their class. And nor should anyone be expected to join a random queue and have to put up with players who do not know how to even do the basics enough to participate.
So if I say a new tank who has never tanked or even been inside that instance should not be allowed to tank, why is it some of you defend them saying “They need to learn to tank somewhere”?
One demo lock dps clowning it up will not make or break the time we’re all going to spend in that place.
One clueless tank will. Do we all want to wait around for yet another tank? Or just tell this guy the basics and move on with our lives.
It’s that simple.
