True. And the adventurers journal is pretty much useless. Sure it tells you what a boss can do, but that’s it. And of course instead of adding some text to help explain what tank’s, heals, and dps should do to avoid some of these mechanics, you get the go watch some neckbeards videogame addicts youtube video, or go visit some 3rd party website ![]()
You know what would be cool is have a little window pop on the side like how it shows the character models but have a small example of what the animation of the spell looks like or a character performing the mechanic!
Pretty much this. Everybody looking for a handout these days.
Especially in Goldshire
and what do you do for quests? none of that for better rewards it appears
did you actually read what OP said - hint that isn’t what they said at all.
But at least there are weapons.
213 and 220 gear is crap rewards? I know I’m behind (I just don’t like Korthia…) but honestly, as a 100% casual, LFR still gives something decent to those behind on Korthia work.
While the quest rewards aren’t super great I think LFR SoD is fine for what it is.
It’s the only raiding I’ve done this patch and it’s pretty easy atleast in my opinion.
I am going for the LFR set so looking forward to that.
I’ve been grinding lfr for the transmog. However, I’m not an lfr warrior.
Watching all the lfr warriors get bent out of shape because they aren’t getting high level rewards for low level gameplay is really astounding.
That being said, the Korthia gear honestly should never have been able to compete with normal raid gear (which it will do once its upgrade path is complete), and the zone should have been tuned accordingly.
The 3rd wing of LFR this week took over 2 hours for each toon that I took through it, due to groups wiping constantly to the mechanics, and tanks consistently quitting when the group wipes or when the tanks realize that they are entering a non-fresh instance.
I agree that it is an overly time-consuming experience, and the item level of the rewards is too low. Previous expansions, and even 9.0, had a better balance between the rewards of LFR and its difficulty.
I honestly think that they should do away with LFR in 9.2, and make Normal easier and queue-able. (At this point in 9.1, LFR seems to have most of the Normal mechanics anyway…)
Should be the opposite imo. LFR is a low tier group content, but it’s still a group content with some strategy, and gives a glimpse at what the real raid is. Korthia is just mindless solo dailies.
MoP had the best iteration of LFR. LFR gear was actually decent in power level, being only 2 difficulties below the highest difficulty of Heroic (as Mythic was not available yet). You could also complete the MoP legendary questline through LFR, and LFR gear had the tier set bonuses.
I feel like I’m pretty much the core target for LFR and I don’t see a problem. I run all nine bosses 4x a week and other than a couple of wipes on the Wing 3 its really not that bad. I heal 3x per week and DPS once–after a couple of wipes people tend to understand the mechanics. I wouldn’t want it to be any more faceroll than it already is.
it takes longer to get a dps lfr queue than it does to find a premade lol
I’m just going to daydream back to the glory days of MSV LFR

I agree 100%. Either the gear needs to be scaled up 5-10 ilvl’s, or the bosses just need to be easier/easier to do overall.
OK so it’s tuned just fine and people need to learn to play there toons.
how come u put LFR dungen so hard ! i cant do it as this , u make it to hard nerf LFR alot !
Would be much better to just increase the rewards instead of dumbing things down. Then the effort and pain would feel worth it at least.
Heck, let mythic be q’d with the same powerful loot. If a bunch of randos can down em, good on them.
