LFR needs an Autokick feature

Just got out of a LFR on my warrior.
We had five DPS who, on every pull, never broke 3k dps.
On RAZ, even after 2 stacks of determination, they never broke 3k.

On our first wipe on her, I pointed it out jokingly
“we have a handful of REALLY low dps, come on guys, hit those buttons, lol.”

/crickets from the group

On the second wipe where we had her down to 25k life and wiped
“Guys we need to lose some of these guys, we would have had it that time”
Again /crickets from the group

We finally managed to get her down and the bottom 2 dps were under 1k dps for the fight, which I didn’t even think was possible.

Maybe there needs to be a certain dps threshold, you are required to be a certain ilvl to join, there should be a dps check to stay.

It’s LFR so set it low but reasonable, something like 15-20k seems fair.

I mean I know its casual mode raiding but this is stupid.

And I don’t understand why people didn’t kick them, we could have replaced all 5 of them with just one good player and we would have still been better off.

Your mistake was saying something in first place. If you want any sembelence of performance you had best avoid LFR and do normal pugs only.

So, what’s the problem then?

Never mention in chat that some people aren’t doing damage. Just quietly start a vote kick on them.

Ya I know, if we would have one shotted the fights I wouldn’t have even scrolled down to check.

I checked the bottom guys gear, out of curiosity, and he had a lariat and about half his gear was 380+ so I know he could have done much better.

Say nothing and just start a vote kick. If you are lucky and get to be the one who writes a reason don’t mention dps, just put “liked Shadowlands” It usually works

Eating repair bills because people can’t be arsed to even hit a button every 5 seconds or so.

Wasting time and repair bills, that’s the issue.

i’m sure it’s fun for them, but for the others in the raid, not so much.

You know it’s LFR, correct?

It should be based on activity time.

You miss every second gcd and basically afk half the fight? No loot.

You try 90%+ (doing mechanics and what not) time of the fight and only pull 10k. You still tried.

Side note- force the people who die instantly to pass on the roll.

well according to the forums lfr is for story why should anyone have to know how to dps and why you there checking dps meters in lfr anyway that really cracks me up.

My argument is, anytime you are in group content, you are expected to meet standards of performance, out in the open solo world, sure, do 1k dps, nobody cares.

But in a group you all depend on each other to at least TRY.

Look, I’m not being harsh here and I didn’t flip out and rage at anybody, why are you SO ok with this?

Maybe you should stick with your Mythic raid?

When you lose by 25k you want to know what happened (if you care at all about what you are doing).

Some people throw down toys and dance during downtime, I try to figure out what went wrong.

LFR isn’t afk for loot.
It’s supposed to be easy, but if a handful of people barely try, then the rest suffer.

I don’t have an appropriate solution to the problem.

This is part people are going to argue agaisnt you about OP.

“I pay $15 a month I’m entitled to afk for free loot while people carry me”.

Sadly I’m pretty sure that’s what was going on.

How about no.

You have no idea what the player controlling that character is dealing with. Maybe they’re looking after a kid or disabled person, maybe they’re disabled, maybe they had to deal with a phone call during the fight that they couldn’t put off and so their DPS is low as a result, maybe someone knocked on their door and they had to answer it.

All of those are valid reasons to not have good DPS during a fight.

If you want performance, stick to normal, heroic or mythic raiding where either you or someone you know can control precisely who is in the raid and whether their DPS is good enough to stay.

I wonder what my melee dps is.

I bet it is better than the guy at the bottom, a ret who on the last pull did 354 dps.

If you know you’re about to have other engagements and or responsibilities, why even queue in the first place? That’s just selfish.
