There’s a way to increase your loot rolls in LFR: auto attack.
The worse you do, without dying, the better your odds are to win.

fr?
<really?>
Yeah nice try.
Bad troll thread is bad!
whacks nose with newspaper
I’ve been running alts through LFR for transmog this morning. Every need roll has been won by someone doing less DPS than some healers. They’ve also not died.
/tinfoil hat
Also works in keys.
Die 20 times, do bottom damage, ragequit leave group, hearth, get loot in mail if they complete it.
True story ![]()
Pretty sure no one will get loot lmao
as if everyone didn’t already know that floor POV guarantees loot in m+
That’s my tinfoil hat theory, too!
I did an LFR last week and half the DPS were doing 30k DPS which I assume is white damage plus occasionally mashing the keyboard.
Kinda seems to be true based on loot rolls I’ve seen in lfr.
it feels like it
the worst players seem to get the most rewarded
Taunt boss midway thru fight and get melee’d.
Receive loot when personal roll was a thing
Get loaded die when rolling
Win
Working as intended. If you’re doing bubkiss for DPS then the game thinks you obviously need the gear and therefore skews the rolls in favor.

My fourth point of contact.
The real question is why anyone would care about LFR loot to begin with.
For the xmog ofc.
Possibly a way to reward players who are garbage with some loot to get better, and honestly no one here knows if that is true or not, there might be some weight to it like many other rumours I have heard over the years.
Like how apparently a new or long returning player has an increased drop chance at something shiny, like a mount. I’ve seen examples of that happening where new players will get a mount from like a mythic raid or something on their first kill. I even got a trial account, put a $20 sub into it and went over to Mechagon to get the arachnoid mount within 3 kills.
The point is, is any of this true or just luck? No one here knows how the game is coded or what it looks out for or how it rewards players for their time.
Sometimes, when we’re farming for raid mounts, somebody will ask “can I bring my friend along?” and my gut reaction every time is “why, so the mount will drop for them? because it will, every time”
If you have to pug anyone for guild raid, you can bet on the pugs getting everything good.
Kills self 3 seconds into every boss fight
Gets all the loots
