Hey, since we are adding boosts to the game I just wanted to make a formal request for some other QoL changes.
I Just want a little LFR;
because finding a raiding guild and committing to their schedule is hard. I am retired. But theoretically if I worked 40+ hours a week It would just be impossible to take on a social commitment like that. Make friends or experience a shared world? I’d rather just pay real money for my warglaives tyvm.
Just a little LFD;
finding groups is tedious and unfun just to have the tank leave after the first wipe. Then have the group fall apart. It really discourages me from playing the game. I pay my sub fee like everyone else and this content should be catered to me as well so that I don’t have to socially interact with anyone.
Being able to buy gladiator mounts;
it’s not fair to have such an awesome and epic mount be exclusive to such a few number of players who are better at the game/more dedicated/ committed. You should just implement some type of store where I could buy that same mount for idk like 100$ because Its not fair that they are going to have something that I don’t. Even though I’m not willing to invest the time or energy to earn it. I have a real life outside of wow after all.
Why not after all.
Ps: This was obvious satire. I know Activision is not going to reverse the decision on the boost. Just making fun of all the people who are supporting this ridiculous cash grab.
The thing is it’ll fall flat with the people you’re trying to make a point to because even people against the boost should understand there is a lot of difference between a one time level 58 boost and LFR or buying gladiator mounts.
People should put more effort into trying to convince Blizzard to do something about mage boosting in dungeons.
That not only does more damage to the things you guys claim is going to be ruined by a paid boost, but it’s infinitely more likely that you’d actually be able to convince them to do it.
But I can just go buy gladiator right now from susanexpress. I’m just asking blizzard allow me to buy it from them.
Do you know see why the mage argument is dumb, just because something exists as a paid service in game doesn’t mean blizzard should sanction a equally dumb alternative.
Being 60 is prestigious to some. I have some very hardcore wow playing friends who couldn’t make it to 60.
Except I’m not saying you should accept the boost because mage boosting exists.
I’m saying you’d be better served putting your effort into fighting against that because it’s a more feasible goal to get them to fix mage boosting than it is to convince them not to sell a boost that will make them a lot of money and the community is divided on wanting or not, on top of the fact that mage boosting is more damaging to the things people claim the paid boost will hurt.
I don’t have much of a horse in this race because I don’t consider level 60 to be prestigious and I’m not going to pay the price of a brand new AAA game just to have a level 58 character. Especially in TBC where 1-60 leveling is already nerfed compared to Classic.
As far as I’m concerned, both sides have dumb arguments.
It would matter a ton to Blizz’ bottom line, and that’s why there is zero chance that the single boost limitation stays in place. And they know this.
It’s a shame to think that they can so easily drop disinformation and folks just drink it up. I’d just prefer a time when the game devs/creators were pretty honest with us. Heck, have to say I still miss Ghostcrawler.
You know hundreds of thousands of players are are paying thousands of gold daily to boost there characters to 60 don’t you know?
What’s the difference if it’s real money? Most of them bought gold anyways. Players like you are out of touch with majority of the player base. People love boosts.
I don’t personally have anything against it either, other than its an obviously dishonest position that they want to hold for a little while, then remove it.
I mean they almost certainly will add unlimited boosts at some point. Which is why I’m not even using the 1 per as a serious argument, the much more relevant argument is that boosting is not an issue.
