No, we can’t make the claim LFR won’t be removed because we actually do not know the facts to support that claim one way or another.
You’re going to make me evolve the argument into an extinction level event that wipes out all life on the surface of the earth and slowly box you into a corner on this, aren’t you?
Ok, given the logic you used to say “technically we can’t make that argument” it’s technically true that you can’t make the claim humanity will exist a year from now.
An extinction level event would still leave the planet intact lol.
which is the detail that is the most annoying.
nearly a decade later and from the old threads Ive read from the time, its the same exact dead horse complaints that it was then.
If we’re still having this discussion, even with players who are complaining and werent even playing before LFR existed, then lets AT LEAST offer up something NEW, or just admit that this isnt working and is entirely futile and a waste of time and space in the forum database.
Philosophically, there is no way to know anything with certainty. However, we still need to make assumptions and those assumptions should rely on the best available evidence. The Earth may be gone tomorrow, sure, but it is very highly unlikely to be. Likewise, we can’t say with certainty LFR won’t be removed, but at this point in the game it is very highly unlikely.
yeah…and youre thinking the servers would still be fired up and running if that happened?
My bad. It does go both ways a lot of times. On other topics as well also. Like flying, crz etc.
I think we can say with 100% confidence that blizzard AINT making THAT big a change without letting us know a bit in advance.
You shouldn’t jump into a separate discussion if you aren’t within the know of the details. Servers weren’t even a part of what we were talking about lol.
That’s the point, you can’t make any claim with 100% confidence.
Ok, I’m done with pedantic BS running rampant through this thread. Feel free to chill out or not…it’s an absolute revolving door of nonsensical sniping between you and Gai at this point and whatever actual use the thread served as a discussion of opposing viewpoints has long-since gone the way of the Dodo.
Chill out? I don’t even know what you are talking about lol. I didn’t know you were being serious and the fact that it has upset you so much is rather troubling. As I said a while back, we were having a decent discussion until one particular person decided to come in and attack us for no reason.
I understand the point. I also know that this company isnt THAT stupid to just make that huge a change without giving us the information well in advance…so theres no way that LfR will be ‘removed’ tomorrow.
A russian nuke strike would be far more likely to happen.
You don’t understand the point, apparently.
No one said it would be removed tomorrow.
I pointed out only that there’s a possibility it can removed, just only that the likelihood of that happening is very, very low.
I think LFR and Heroic 5mans are, for better or worse, permanent vestigial features. The question isn’t whether Blizzard will remove them, but rather whether they’ll let the feature die.
Typically in the past Blizzard has added incentives to motivate non “LFR players” to queue up (augment runes). The incentive system just seems to be there to get raiders who have no business in easier content running people through the content. fun times.
My preference would be to get rid of the queue system for everything except leveling dungeons.
and I dont think you get to misrepresent the details as you see fit.
- there are no meltdowns here but from your side.
- this isnt about you not loving LFR…the issue is you all wanting it changed or removed. THAT is the topic…or did you not read the thread title at all?
- post count isnt relevant. Dont post and then expect me not to respond.
I had it in my mind that a lot of the changes to gearing outside of raids was eventually leading to a major change or outright removal of LFR in general. I still think the game needs a raid queue, I just feel like it should be on Normal at this point.
I think by “meltdown” he was referring to your incessant need to reply to nearly everything posted here. Ya know… the near 300 posts you have here, apparently. No offense.
None of that puts shade on your arguments, however.
