LFR is not getting removed. Get over it already

Not even sure what to say to that joke.

To be fair, in those groups yes it can go either way. I’ve seen the good and enjoyed it, seen the bad and left, easy as that. I don’t label all high end raiders as toxic either. I’ve had some work with me in the past to make me a better player.

However, this thread does seem to highlight the ones that make people terrified of joining groups, when you see people calling others “garbage players”, “LFR losers”, or so many other wonderful denigrating names, it brings me back to the good old days, shudders.

tell that to MoP LFR where people were begging for nerfs to be able to clear heart of fear in under 30 hours.

That was a joke? Pretty sure it was fairly straight forward.

Not doing things because there is a chance there will be people you dont like also doing it is inadvisable

Exactly. LFR is instant gratification and participation trophy embodied in a video game. Terrible for MMORPG’s.

Making an assumption of how long a person has played based on their forum profile. Is a bit sketchy. Some post on different accounts. Others, like me. quit wow during vanilla because we didn’t really like it. In my case I only came back when D3 got really boring. I had to start a new account. Couldn’t remember the old one. Prob still a level 45 pally on an account somewhere. My only point is you shouldn’t try to shame someone based on assumptions.

Yet here we are still playing after 15 years. You know what game that catered to the elite few no longer exists? Wildstar.

Is azhara in a mop lfr? I must have missed that patch note.
That was the point I was making. That it is so easy that I can run around doing nothing and we still 1 shot everything excerpt orgazoa until the tanks learnt what to do.
I didn’t play mop but from what people have said it’s lfr was much better.

Im just not sure Id give up the day job just yet if i were you.
Let get back to the topic if you dont mind

What’s the topic?

I don’t either. Some are genuinely helpful. Those are the ones I enjoy working with. Encountered plenty of bad apples that have burned me enough to make me wary of joining groups though.

Because my crippling social anxiety and depression is keeping me terrified of jumping into that sort of unknown. I fully admit that I need a more welcoming and understanding environment to play in and that’s a rare thing with a pug.

yeah…because youre OVERGEARED for LFR.
NO ONE in LFR gear is ONE shotting anything, friend. Just stop.

evidently right now its going to be ignoring you till you get back on it.

You know what is a casual friendly and elite friendly game? WoW classic. Nobody is saying that WoW should be catered toward elite players. We’re saying that instant gratification and participation trophy mentality is terrible for WoW. Use your brain. Make the game how it used to be.

I’ve been here since 2004, I have experienced quite a few toxic guilds, but I didn’t let that sour me against guild raiding. When you play an online game, you got to be ready for people like this, it is part of the experience.

I also know the true reasons why LFR came into existence. You guys always talk down to so many people that try to explain the landscape at the time during Cata, basically using a few quotes from Ion to try to build your entire argument off of.

The facts are, he never talked about raid participation numbers other than Naxx 40. There is zero data out there on raid participation from Blizzard’s end other than the example he gave. It is all conjecture and anecdotal experiences.

I’m sorry, but until Blizzard actually publishes actual real data on raid participation, I’m going to stick with my bias that LFR didn’t save raiding, because raiding didn’t need saved in the first place.

Excellent point.
They seem to think stripping the game of casual friendly raid content will make their games better, but we all know theyd be back in here the next week complaining that some new ‘thing’ was destroying WoW.

Wait, people actually think that LFR saved raiding? hahahahahahaha
