Can the orb mechanic be reoved from it? It’s way too difficult for LFR. I mean why even bother wiping over and over until you get people who understand the orb mechanic for a 340 piece, when you can afk in a warfront and get 385?
Blizzard wanted one mechanic to matter in each fight
Ghuun in general is just a bad fight. I’m sure people like it, but I know more people who despise the fight than like it. My guild is heroic only (never done a mythic boss as the current raid tier) and Uldir is going to be the first AotC we don’t get in nearly 3 years. Archimonde was our first AotC and Ghuun will be the boss to break that streak.
It’s just a tiring boss that none of us have the energy to keep attempting, not to mention the player retention problems every guild is facing in BFA right now.
its actually pretty damn simple. just gotta get a few people that aren’t scared to run with a little yellow bright ball.
ofc if nobody wants to run and everyone stands down there with their foot in their mouth it’s not gonna happen.
It is Looking For Raid, not Looking For Handouts. Some things just need to matter.
LFR is nothing but handout/welfare gear, what are you talking about?
LFR should offer gear equal to heroic dungeons only.
the highest you could get from lfr is 360 (perfect tiantforge), 360 is lame as hell.
i see no harm really.
Pretty sure nothing compares to the Durumu struggle, may his LFR reign be everlasting for he is the true king.
I’m an lfr hero and I don’t want it easier. When mechanics matter people learn them.
Way back when I used to raid it would often take many tries to get a boss down the first time. Later as we grew to understand the mechanics etc things got much easier. Why should lfr be any different?
The idea that only slobbering fools lfr is simply silly. Many of us enjoy the fights and would like more mechanics to matter.
But it’s really not that bad of a fight. I did it when LFR G’huun first came out. I chose to be an orb runner and a Paladin came to help me. Because it’s so simple, you only need two people to run orbs on both sides. I know, most want to go into LFR with absolutely no challenge because they want to AFK the fights. But in this scenario, how about you learn the mechanic and ask someone to join you before the fight starts, OP?
As for higher difficulties, my group found him easier than Mythrax and Zul. All it takes is nailing the orb mechanics and you’re golden. It’s a very simple fight, which is disappointing for a hyped up old god of dangerous power.
Thanks, now I’m having 15 Determination stacks nightmares. D:
Max was 10 but yes I remember having groups reach that.
I think people use the term welfare gear as a way to insult players that put in less time to the game. In the end, it is about fun. People participate in activities they find enjoyable. There is no need to insult a group of the population.
#Fakenews
Max is ten. And Garrosh had 10 stacks day 1.
Sometimes telling the truth hurts, I agree.
Been so long since I saw that, I actually forgot determination had a max. Because no boss has come close to Durumu. Thanks for correcting me, I don’t LFR a lot.
What garrosh was never even in close to Durumu for stacks? Durumu was and still is the only encounter I’ve heard/seen 10 stacks.
Garrosh still didn’t last at that as long as Durumu. And apologies, as I said to the other person, I don’t LFR much. But people were still wiping at 10 stacks in Durumu, that much I do remember. Garrosh was only at 10 stacks because people refused vehemently to do Iron Stars or axe duty.
I guess it does take a mean spirited little person to bully others. Suits you well.
2019, another year where telling the truth is considered bullying. lol
