Lfr entitlement grows every expansion

Edit: THIS IS NOT A REMOVE LFR THREAD.

Seriously. When it was initially released, the reason for LFR was to experience the story. As time went on, people are now saying IT SHOULD give gear, mounts, cosmetic things, and it serves as a raiding introduction experience.
I don’t have anything against LFR but the increasing demands from the LFR entitlement crowd need to stop. Seriously, at this point, I just want to see Blizzard remove LFR for good to put down the hammer to the I buy the game I should get everything without putting any effort mentality. Oh how fun it would be.
If this goes on, what will LFR players demand next? Same ilvl rewards as mythic mode? Or same cosmetics rewards as mythic mode?? Or maybe a whole raid set from the garrison tables, which still surprises me how it made it’s way into BFA lmao…
Anyways, just the demands for GIVE ME EVERYTHING I WANT I PAY $15 A MONTH is getting dangerous. We went from GROUP FINDER to LFR to to max level boost to garrisons to ilvl and level scaling. Seriously more demands and soon we’ll be demanding AFK gameplay and WOW will be playable on mobile.

This is not about removinG LFR. This is about criticizing players who use LFR that demand more and more stuff from LFR. My post I just said how fun it would be if Blizzard removes LFR but obviously will never happen

Who cares? Do it or don’t.

Give it a rest… LFR is not going anywhere.

They should add an extra reward to LFR every time someone complains about it or calls for its removal.

Again, this is not a REMOVE LFR thread.

This complaint is strange to me, as LFR always gave gear. Blizzard didn’t put mounts in LFR until Legion, but eh, I don’t care. But I am all about the cosmetics. And by cosmetics, I mean transmog.

One thing I dislike about the BfA model of LFR is that it seems half-way inspired by WoD’s model. That is, world content gear is either equal or better than LFR gear. (I am not sure about gear in 8.3, maybe LFR will have higher ilvl gear than world content, finally).

Now I do not want LFR to have the same rewards as harder difficulties. Higher difficulties should award better rewards. What I want, however, is a point to do LFR as I do not go in to actual raiding due to my personal social issues. Gear looks horrendous, so going in for transmog is out. I could technically see the story via youtube; so that leave gearing up. But however, Benthic gear can yield higher ilvl than LFR due to upgrading it. I haven’t finished a single LFR raid in this expansion because I could get good enough gear from doing world content. I feel that it’s a problem if there’s no reason to actually do LFR.

You say that this is not a remove LFR thread, but you seem to wish to strip LFR of any incentive people may have to run it.

No, not really. If people just want to see the raids and the story, it’d still be used. You also don’t need to be a great player to raid even Heroic.

LFR servers a valuable purpose; that is why it was created and expanded upon expansion after expansion. LFR is not going anywhere… come to grips with this.

What exactly could they put into LFR that is in the other difficulties? They all have gear/transmog and chances at a possible mount. The only one that is really different is Mythic and not really by much.

This thread is weird.

What’s the point of this post? Neither the OP nor me asked for LFR to be removed. You seem to be creating a strawman instead of actually responding to me.

I’ve hardly done an LFR this whole expansion on any character and as a result, I hardly ever think about them. I suggest you give that a try.

As far as loot goes, LFR used to be the first step for gearing up a fresh character. Blizzard have since added world quests, emissaries and finally warfronts which have undermined LFR loot.

If I can gear better without setting foot in a dungeon or raid, then LFR loot is below par.

This is a pretty weak argument. LFR has an impact on the game, as do all the difficulties (primarily ilvl inflation), and you can’t really ignore its existence. I don’t really talk about it or even think about it, but when it comes to threads like these, the OP has a point.

I know LFR has its place. The problem comes when Blizzard uses it for excuses.

How is this thread spam? It’s related to WoW and about a subject that is often talked about.

Rather than making use of logical fallacies, why not actually address the topic and what we’re saying? You’re actually putting words in our mouths and telling us what our opinions are.

This is why it is spam… repeated threads on the same topic is the very definition of SPAM. Find an existing thread.

You’d have a point if there was already a thread for the ongoing discussion. I didn’t see one earlier. Blizzard actually steps in if they consider it spam. Do you know what else isn’t allowed? Necro’ing old threads.

You’re still not addressing anything either of us said… funny.

Where are these “LFR should have more” threads? I mean, I’m not here every day these days, but I haven’t seen them.

What I do want is for every raid to be LFR eligible (hello Mechagon), or for things like unlocking races and pathfinder to not require it.

Because it is not worth addressing… LFR is not going anywhere; learn to cope with this.

I’ve seen them from time to time. They’re not really a thing right now, as the only thing LFR doesn’t have are the optional cosmetics… and that’s not really that big of a draw. I do remember in Legion with Balance of Power.

If you have a problem with it, but can’t do anything about it, ignoring works well, regardless of what your particular issue is.

LFR used to have a place, I ran many, gearing up, getting legendary cloaks and rings, but now they’ve lost their relevance, to me anyway, as I don’t see a reason to do them. That’s a shame but it’s Blizzard’s doing.
