You sit waiting and nothing happens. Why mythic is some kind of special exclusionary system is beyond me. I don’t want to waste my time waiting to get in a group or waste my time setting up a group to not have it filled.
I want Mythic level content systems to be automated in the group finder tool. Even with cross faction play it’s still the same broken system. People discriminate against you for your class/spec yadda yadda and you make your own group and it’s crickets.
ON TOP of it you have stupid “dot com” voice spam groups in there advertising low life carry runs only to scam people out of money and whatnot. yeesh.
Fix your group finder tool Blizzard so that mythic content isn’t inaccessible. Zero excuses.
There are technical issues that would need to be resolved before you could have a LFD for mythic+. Keep in mind that a mythic+ is based upon the key stone being used. So in a LFD instance, someone would need to be willing to put their key on the line. Not to mention in a queue you would have to trust the system to build you a viable group and people who are actually capable of completely the key.
If they did add a system, I am betting the failure rate of such instances would be rather high.
It’s not. The system for PVP puts folx up against better players all the time against opposing factions all the time. They just don’t want to build a tool that accomplishes Mythic based accessibility. Because - of elitism.
Yeah you could not pay me enough money to queue into random M+s as a tank/healer.
OP, I don’t mean this in an unkind way, but were you having this problem on the posting character? Because your ilvl is probably not helping you win any group applicants. Tank/heals are hard enough to come by anyway right now because this week’s affixes are not fun. Sometimes you just gotta be real, real patient … but raising your ilvl wouldn’t hurt either. You know even heroics would drop upgrades for you right now yeah?
Look, I know how hard it is as a DPS to do mythics, but the best way is either host your own keys or play a Tank/Healer spec. Grouping as a DPS has always been, and will always be, harder just because of the number of people who play DPS vs other roles. Nothing blizz can do about that.
You understand that in that case, the failure rate is 50% right? I mean one side built by the “queue” always loses Plus you can’t compare PvP to mythic+. The entire basis of mythic+ is the key stone, that determines the instance and the difficulty level. Right now there is no way to do that with the current system.
I would like at least the auto invite button for low M+ up to 14 or whatever. I don’t want to sit there waiting to invite whatever people finally sign up, I’d rather go to the bathroom while my group fills so I don’t have to do it after the group is full and before the key.
That is probably true and you don’t even need a key for that. Really outside of the fact those are once a week instance, I am not sure why they were not added but I doubt that is actually what the OP was trying to get at.
I’m betting that there would be a lot of failure at the beginning but the skill level of those no able to play the content would rise. There would be an overall net increase to the skill level of the playerbase.
Also I would do away with keys and set ilvl / completion requirements to queue for the next highest difficulty.
I’m guessing this is about dungeons. The intent here is likely so that you can control who goes into end game content with you, gets you out in the world thus making it busier and showing you where the instance is, and also adding a hint of a feeling of a social aspect/community to the game.
The failure rate for randomly-created M0 groups in the first couple weeks of an expansion would be through the roof.
And that’s why there’s no LFD M0. Sure, everybody outgears M0 NOW, but they won’t the first couple weeks of Dragonflight, and it would be a slaughter.
But if Blizzard puts in M0 now, for Shadowlands, and takes it away at the start of Dragonflight, people will scream bloody murder. So that’s not an option for Blizzard, either.
There’s no such thing as “failure” in M0, there’s no timer to miss. You can lust every boss, replace members that stink or leave. Additionally, even the first week of the expansion, one or two good players in the group will make M0 feel like heroic. Just require a minimum ilvl and you will be gtg. The very next week people were doing 10+, I think most people will be fine doing M0.
Might be a bit harder at the start of the first season but it wouldn’t be a slaughter. I think they should do it and if it is hard some people won’t use it and that is fine.
