Just remove the need to be queued to use lfg chat and it’s fine

Literally no point in it, if you’re gonna give us a LFG why make it so trash when you have a perfectly good one you could give us, other than doing it out of spite. Blizzard has a knack for doing unnecessary things to p their players off.

Yeah it is. It works well.

Stop trolling, the tool is trash. It’s a bugged mess that was a waste of dev time.

Yes because i like seeing a group that has a priest tank.

I actually liked the old LFG. More streamline.

Listing yourself to just chat can result in a ban, not a mute…an actual ban. Blizzard is very serious about the new LFG system being only for looking for groups. The ban starts at 9 days and then increases. You have been warned.

Reducing the value of that /lfg channel even more

This is false. its not good and the fact that you can list yourself as a rogue healer is a very obvious oversight.

Can you? I saw some YT video going over the tool, and they showed off if you sign up as a role your class isnt designed for, your role listing was just blank.

Also, it wasn’t an oversight, it was intentionally done. So its a dumb decision, not an oversight.

I mean, if it were an addon and there was nothing else available in-game, people would probably enjoy it. But it is kind of buggy and rough around the edges.

Do you get paid by the post. A lot of these literally read like paid reviews

In the talents page you can default your role as a tank even though the class can not

While yes you cant list yourself only as a tank if the class and if you do it will be blank however when a I look at a group like this

It could be the mage that defaulted him/herself as the tank from the talent page which resulted in displaying like this

It happened to me where I had a dps DK ask if he could join but I told him dps is full and told him why and it was one of our dps in the group listed themselves as a healer from the talent page.

There are still a few oversights, like raid groups having like 12 tanks and the one sample screenshot where I showed you that even the mage choose to list themselves as a dps, when they join the group their role is based off of what the default role is on the talent page

Yeah, it also defaults to tank for some reason. And you can’t browse groups while you’ve listed yourself. And you can’t look at raids and dungeons simultaneously. It’s not very good tbh.

Ah I see, yeah that does look pretty bad. I havent had the need to list yet, since I’m usually using the LFG tool so far to bring in people to a group already started. So my perspective is only looking at the single people in the listing.

I also thought it was annoying that every talent spec defaults to tank. Just have the default be based on the first tree you put a talent point into. I agree that was an oversight.

I was just stating that it wasnt an oversight to let anyone queue up as any role, and that I agree its a dumb decision. The extra description text can be used in the odd scenarios someone wants to do a different role than their spec is designed for. It shouldnt be baked in to the UI as the norm.

In fairness it’s actually a good tool, the only glaring issues currently is that it continues to reset your designated roles. Obviously its not as good as RDF, but for characters at max level its serviceable.

It’s cumbersome and open to gatekeeping. I’ve had a great time as a tank on a full server forming groups with casters so I get more loot. I’d use RDF instead though because it’s easy-to-use and I can quest/pvp in between instead of long, drawn out treks or waiting for a summon.
