LFG Please!

No. Not that LFG. Looking For a Guild! So, I work graveyard four nights a week. My off days rotate which makes raiding a bit sketchy. Are there any guilds right now who plan on raiding about seven in the morning US Eastern time? If I could find one that starts it then I could make every raid under the sun. Fingers crossed.

If you can handle the latency, I would probably suggest trying an Oceanic server. Looking for a guild that starts raiding at 9 pm will probably be a lot easier than trying to find one that starts at 7 am.

When you work seven at night to five thirty in the morning you’re kinda screwed when it comes to making every raid with a guild who does it at night.

7 am east coast is 9 pm in Sydney. If you’re on an Oceanic server, you’d be playing with people that are also likely to be off work.

Would I have to create a new account for that or can I just access Oceanic servers from the main server select screen?

When you’re at the server list screen, there’s a tab at the bottom of the list to switch between US servers and Oceanic servers.

Sweet! Never tried to play on their servers before, wasn’t sure how it worked. I’ll give it a shot and see what my latency is like.

If you list this in the guilds section you may get more visibility by peeps looking for guild members.

Are you subbed now?

Log onto to an Oceanic retail realm to get a feel.

Yes. Have been for little over a month. Came back after leaving when Cataclysm ended.

some aussies have experienced latency playing on US servers, but that’s never been a problem for me.
i’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!

You might post over in the classic guild forum.

My own guild has a placeholder name of for noobz by noobz in forums and we have some Aussies and Europeans and maybe Hawaii, but mostly mainland North America people. It’s Bloodsail RP PVE server, so might be light on the PVP and memenames, but dedicated officers and good people on discord so far. GM is active duty military who might need to step out if he gets deployed, but the officers look like married folk in their late 30s/early 40s who played since vanilla and whose spouses play too. They try to keep the language to PG-13 in case someone has a kid looking over their shoulder or someone’s not using headphones. There will be raiding, there will be RP, there will be probably at least a light amount of PVP, there is a spreadsheet about what people are maining in progress, but generally no pressure or requirements of people beyond not being jerks. Edit: I think the noobz name came from the GM playing in vanilla but never raiding then stopping when he got deployed, then playing one or two expacs but maybe still never raiding? The officers seem rather expert and have guides and macros and things on every class, but the culture is intended to be noob friendly.

There is a guild called Criticism on Pagle that says it is planning on raiding on Sundays in the afternoon, if that fits your schedule. They have posted in the pagle Discord server.
