LFG needs a server filter

the lag from other servers is too much. having to hover each listing one by one to see the player’s server is inconvenient especially when i’m just going to avoid those servers anyway

This is my “I know I’m a jerk, but…” opinion in wow for sure. I should be able to push a button that lets me only play with my region period. In random queues too.

Like, I know OCE just wants to get queues too. But the difference for me is 40ms to 200+ ms. I’d literally rather just not play than play with 200+ ms. It’s basically a different game.

that was beautiful

A couple years ago I had a big issue with latency (or so I thought) and had started a thread in tech support about it. Was told to get a new router, call my ISP, etc. until I finally figured out it was just the game connecting me to OCE servers when doing BG’s before work at 530am (due to the lower pop at that time). I started paying attention and a lot of time there would only be 1-2 OCE players in the entire BG yet they’d connect everyone to their realm and ruin the game experience for the 13+ other people. Point being I agree that I’d rather just not get a game than to have one that’s super frustrating and essentially unplayable.

Careful. I got a 24 hour ban for putting in my LFG listing “no ragnaros no frosmourne please lol” like huh?? Just being honest.

So? In oceanic prime time I’ve seen dungeons and bgs with mostly oceanic link to a American server and ruin it for us. Thing is this happens so often we’re just use to it. Trust us we want it too but it would affect everybody more negatively if you started taking away like this.

I never said it’s only a one way street. I’m sure many OCE players dislike being forcefully connected to a server halfway across the world.

It wouldn’t though, that’s the point. Most likely it would negatively impact OCE players and have only a positive affect on NA players as OCE needs NA players most of the time but not the other way around.

I got banned for like 15 days for just saying azuremyst (the server connected to dawnbringer mah server) is trash and was no reason to connect us with them

Idk whats wrong with blizzard but people in goldshire dropping hard r’s and luring people into discord to ddos them is not punishable but having server rivalries is against everything that made them a company

the powers that be (CMs) use zero critical thinking skills and just go off of whether someone could have possibly had their precious feelings hurt by a post no matter how innocuous it may be

it’s actually possible to spam report someone and get them a vacation because of how incredibly low the bar is set

then again legit troll posts get reported by the community, get hidden, and a CM rolls through and says “nah this is fine.”

sure glad that report function exists!

Just remember seratox made the mods hungry and got banned for posting a mcchicken and he sent me the proof its 100% legit

I sure do love this 100% human reviewed system

The amount of oceanic players that would quit if this was the norm would be a lot since we’ve had our servers for a while. Lose this entire region and by that logic you’d want to lose the South American one too cause it’s the same thing. Less money comes in blizz raises NA prices more people quit and the game starts collapsing.

Wait why would all OCE players quit? I didn’t say take away your servers. I’m simply saying OCE is a much smaller player base so if you need outside players to fill your queues/bg’s then you should connect to the NA servers and not the other way around.

As a QT player I can tell you, there is nothing wrong with not letting Ragnaros players come into your groups, even we can tell u that people from that realm sux, form example, I just had a Neltharus +20 dropped to +19 just cause this tank named Jîmz died to first boss, he just said gg and left, dude got 2.6k io, all I can say is “Ragnaros players”
Btw I had him told that players like him are the reason why Latam servers got such a bad reputation.
