LFG Channel?

Back in vanilla Blizzard experimented with two mechanics to help players form dungeon groups.
The Meeting Stones and a LFG world chat Channel.
The Meeting Stones acted as a crude LFG feature that never saw a lot of use due to its limitations.
But
The LFG channel was simply a world chat Channel where you could advertise for a dungeon group to all questing zones in order to have a larger pool of players to draw from.

Blizzard abandon the lfg channel due to its inability to control gold selling spam, which in the modern game is no longer a problem.

Do you think that blizzard should bring this chat mechanic back to classic?

There is a LFG channel, it’s just not enabled by default. Check in Chat Settings.

It’s basically used as a global barrens chat though most of the time.

There are currently two lfg channel.

Keep in mind World is a private channel with one player as a channel moderator. They can ban and kick players from the channel and/or password protect it.

Lookingforgroup is a blizzard channel that is unmoderated making it free from that kind of abuse.

Irrelevant.

Until some nut seizes control of the channel and use it to spam politics.

PS: Blizzard should consider adding a Global channel so people won’t use LFG as barrens chat.

yeah /looking for group for dungeons and difficult quests

but dont advertise it

keeps out a lot of riff raff who are still spamming in /1 (though i pick up stragglers in /1 after i get core in /looking for group)

There are 2 LFG channels.

LookingForGroup
LFG

You have to actually join them to use the channels.
