people are grabbing that current version because the auto stuff and talent tree parse stuff is turned on.
And all one has to do is change the .toc if blizzard patches the game.

You can’t do that or you break CTRaid-type guild invite features. Josh said that you can’t break this addon without breaking others which will impact the Classic experience.
So, the best Blizzard can do is allow the addon to work without the talent tree and auto-invite features, and that should be good enough for everyone, and you still keep the CTRaid features.

Agreed, this totally breaks the spirit of Vanilla and if we have instagroups, it means an easier path for people to just leave groups for any reason and start another, which has plagued retail for years.
I think this is good, a lot of times you get stuck with a terrible healer, tank, or dps class like a hunter that doesn’t know how to control their pets, just because it’s a pain in the bleep to have to go spamming for a replacement while everyone waits in the dungeon. This way you can boot bad players and replace them instead of suffering through a dungeon with them. Or when a player drops group for no reason you can find a replacement easier.
Go ahead and boot that priest from SM.
Use the add-on to find another and then wait, wait, wait for that priest to make the journey to SM.
Unless, of course, that add-on can magically teleport them there.
Yeah, or the tank gets the drop he wants from the first boss and abandons group. Thats BFA culture, not Classic. You arent helping your case stating things like this, you are hurting it.

Actually there’s no reason to update your add-on because classic is static. No LUA changes and no content changes that would need add-on updating.
This isn’t retail that changes with every content patch; this is a static game.

I have to say that if this makes its way into classic then it removes the very nature of why people want classic to begin with. Lets all put on our thinking caps and understand what this will lead too. Less interaction with people defeats the point of moving to more simplistic times where you press a button kill a boss and leave. You will be on a single server and begin to learn regular players at which you have grouped with once before.
O god though the spam spam spam and o ya more spam.
I am all for addons that improve QOL in game but there are so many QOL things we should no longer need when it comes to classic. UI changes I am all down for as its a customization feature, but group finder is a hop / skip/ and a jump from doing LFR and that is a NO GO FOR SO MANY.

Well why don’t YOU ask 12k people if they’re NOT going to upgrade.
Don’t have to. The fact is they don’t have to any nothing is preventing them from using that feature.
And nothing is preventing me from writing it myself. So, I don’t know what you want here.
