[LFG] [A] [NA] [pref. Pagle /EST PvE] Weekday gameplay & kindness req'd

In a nutshell: Definitely not HC. I say “y’all” a lot. If you don’t find southern accents charming or at least tolerable, you might want to move along
I can provide:

  • [ ] flexible playtime as needed during the weekdays (often avail. 9am~6pm EST)
  • [ ] generosity of knowledge, resources, & loot
  • [ ] reliability
  • [ ] a quiet and friendly co-quester/dungeon-mate who doesn’t need to communicate unless necessary
  • [ ] artistic RL guild swag (I make stickers, greeting cards, t-shirts, vinyl decals, etc)
  • [ ] Social media copywriting, editing, posting, and admin

I need:

  • [ ] kindness
  • [ ] undemanding guildies
  • [ ] daytime EST gameplay (occasional nights/weekends okay)
  • [ ] to be allowed to enjoy game content like quests/lore

The more in-depth version:
I’m a sensitive, cane-shaking housewife who has the pains that come with age and injury. I might have a migraine day that I can’t use my headset, or a bit of arthritis that’s making my mouse movement a bit slow, so a kind, undemanding, and understanding guild that isn’t focused on realm domination would be best for both of us. I need people who understand that I am genuinely trying my best even if I’m sucking at something; I am never purposefully being lazy or unhelpful. I’m not decrepit, but I need a little slack
I’m a life-long gamer (since Pac-Man on Atari 2600), but am relatively newbish to WoW; while I don’t like hand-holding, I do appreciate folks who happily offer answers or can point me toward them when asked. I’ve played WoW off and on (mostly off) since 2012 and almost always solo for lack of finding a group who was respectful of others. I’m back now to enjoy the fabled glory days of Classic that I’d heard so much about and was always a bit upset that I’d missed. I will also be playing the retail version. A guild that is playing both would be great and I wouldn’t mind making a new character on your US/Alliance retail server.

I have no ego when it comes to the “stuff”: equipment, titles, firsts, ranks, etc. in WoW (or otherwise really). I have it and you need it? I will give it to you. I get value from WoW and most games by the questing, lore, gameplay, and overcoming challenges solo or as a group. I need time to read/enjoy quests and objectives if it’s my first time through a section of content.
Example of what I wish would happen when I go through a dungeon:
We arrive, have a chance to read our quests, map, and objectives. Maybe outline our plan of attack. Get/give buffs. Go through each area making sure no one is left behind while they are eating/skinning/picking up loot. Making sure everyone is getting what they need to complete quest objectives. Take time to trade rewards at the end.
Almost every single dungeon I’ve done has been some huge rush with no communication. I often lag behind while I’m reading a quest or map (gasp!), skinning, or completing quest objectives. I have never gotten to enjoy anything happening in a dungeon and it makes me very sad to have to miss such a huge chunk of the game.
I don’t like talking much while I’m playing but am happy to communicate strategy and directions or listen to you talk  I play games for relief and distraction from my pain, anxiety, and depression. Added stress and pressure from guild mates is something I can’t endure. I can deal with challenges in-game, but not with unkindness to me or others about a failure to perform top-notch.

I am generally free to play weekdays and I try to keep my gaming between 9 am and 6pm EST so I can still provide time for my family, pets, and other hobbies. I can play nights and weekends but I prefer not to on a regular basis. If I have committed to something in-game on a certain time/date, I can dependably and reliably arrive on time. I am not in a rush to level or get through content but I do play copiously.

Vulgar cursing, cheating, griefing, and bigotry are not okay with me.

I also play HotS and Overwatch (on XB1) and would enjoy grouping on those and other games sometimes, too.

The things I’m asking for in a guild, I will provide in return <3
If you read all this and we checked each other’s boxes and you’re still somehow interested in adding little ol’ me to your guild, you can DM me on Discord @Kate#6123

Hey there Kayte! Go ahead and take a look at our post on [A]<Daybreak>Daytime Raiding Guild|Herod PVP|T/W 11:30AM-2:30PM EST - #3 by Dandin-dalvengyr to see if we may be a good fit for you. We are in the early stages of recruiting for alliance daytime raiders!

Thank you! It does seem like a good fit…except I’m a bit terrified of being on a PvP realm. I’ve not PvP’ed before. I am a bit nervous that I’d be ganked a lot . Am I making a mountain out of a molehill?

I think if you are planning on playing at the beginning of launch, post players will be focused on leveling and getting to 60. In certain contested zones, like STV, pvp will happen between horde and alliance. In playing with a guild that has similar play-times, it becomes easier to group up with one another for quests in those zones and help one another out in the process (which ultimately builds relationship and will be helpful down the road for raiding and other goals you may have). When grouped in the contested zones, ganking becomes much less prevalent.

Yes, I’ll be playing at launch (had a blast in the stress test). I think not finding a good guild to group with was a problem for me before partly because I do play daytimes and had to solo a lot. Thanks for allaying my fears on the PvP front! It might be more fun than I thought

Hey Ms. Kayte - your objectives and playing style mirror my own! Would love to be part of your group on Pagle, if that is where you choose to play. Played casual since 2013. Have a Night Elf Priest ready to go for Classic as well as a Gnome Mage - both on Pagle. Speaking from past play - the day I decided to play on Zul’jin on a “Normal” server was the best decision I ever made. Please let me know where you end up if you join a guild on Pagle.

I’d like to know more about your guild and maybe join you on discord  I’m a little clueless on there and can’t figure out how to message you so if you could send me an invite that would be sweet. Feathir
#5091 Thank you

Hey Feathir – I’ll send you a request via Discord if you are interested in learning more about our alliance pvp daytime guild. Be on the lookout for a friend request from Destrox.

Thanks!

Ill throw my guild into the mix as well. <Darkness> Pagle [A] PvE Tues/Fri/Sun Night Raiding

We are a casual raiding guild that takes raiding seriously. I know that you said you were looking for a weekday guild but I thought it couldnt hurt to throw ours in as well into the mix. I am keeping the guild topped out to a maximum of 60 players but would prefer 50 active.

I can be reached via dm here, on that post, Discord via Pizzalicious#3878 or Bnet Pizzalicious#1927
