Couple of things.

  1. I don’t do arena’s so your attempt is bad.
  2. PvP is Player versus Player. The only real environmental affects in PvP is LoS. Anything else would be flamed by the community.
  3. PvE is environmental content. The world is PvE content. If you don’t want to do PvE, don’t. Similar to how I don’t do PvP.
