Ok you said blizzard had over 100 million unique subs. TBC retained 4 million of those and wrath retained 1 million of those 100 million subs. Would you agree this is correct?
I am a statistic that quit during Wrath due to having grown up and gotten into a mess of adult responsibilities. And that was even BEFORE RDF came out. I reckon there were A LOT of people in a similar situation where they couldnât waste time on games in order to get their adult lives going.
This whole thread youâve been suspicious but this one outs you as a troll.
I love this.
There is no way to answer the question without acknowledging that there would be substantially more growth for the first 5 or so years compared to 1 year or so of Wrath with RDF.
How many did they lose then gain back because of RDF? Noone knows the answer. It is known that wow peaked during Wrath, but no one knows the reason for losses and gains because the data does not exist, anywhere.
Did everyone leave simply because of RDF? Again, who knows. They donât do exit interviews.
This argument does not stand up. You canât quantify that the introduction RDF caused the downfall of WOW because there is no data on how many people quit the game because of RDF due to the fact Blizzard doesnât keep that information, only total adds and losses. It is pure conjecture and personal bias to assume that RDF caused most of the losses.
Yes you can, wrath garnered 1 million subs total in its cycle. If people are going to say its peak wow, its when wow was its greatest. Just dont use sub numbers as your evidence bc sorry that evidence points towards The Burning Crusade which added 400% more subs than Wrath.
Also where did i say RDF caused people to quit??
Pretty much right there.
Lol you definitely didnt play back in tbc.
To me the best part of LFD was being able to queue all day for random heroics and farm badges for gear. If Blizz would allow that to happen with the new tool and not lock you out after one heroic run for the day I would be fine. I do agree that they are being way to quiet on the issue and need to come out and address everyone and actually listen to what the community is saying.
nah, anti-lfd people know they hold an unpopular, contrarian opinion so double down on it to bait people into arguments. Its just trolling, dont engage.
âAnyone who disagree with me is a trollâ. Who would have thought pro LFDers think itâs trolling to advocate banning people for breaking the TOS? Lmfao.
According them, anti-LFD is the majority.
Also damn, is that Shadowweave? I loved that on my Warlock.
they dont allow RDF cuz they want an even larger pool for the boosters to gain gold to boost their gold selling capabilities
Funny story huh how blizz is the only party with anything approaching empirical data about attitudes and interaction⌠and theyve made this decision⌠maybe theyre doing what the data backs up anyways, and youve been wrong to assume you know heads or tails of realistic numbers this entire time.
Now im not saying thats definitely the case, but theres far more rationale for that than that somehow confirmation bias doesnt apply in this situation lololol
Blizzard has a long history of doing things that are massively unpopular and ignoring that fact.
We know.
Can I have your number?
Oh look, didnt read my entire post
lol of course they removed it from wrath because wrath dungeons are so spammy and easy and fast to get into.
So lets remove that so people buy boost
This company is 100% disgusting now and its not changing anytime soon.
You cant have my gold, im taking it to the grave.
This is actually untrue. You are only looking at total numbers. Wrath was constantly getting new players and older players were quitting for different reasons. So despite wrath losing subs it also grew and attracted and maintained the largest mmo audience in history. One could even argue that the wow audience had gone through a significant change from the start of wrath to the end. I have seen you post this incorrect statement in multiple threads. Please correct it.
