LF Old School Guild with Active Gchat (Not Discord)

Hey there,

I’ve been looking for a guild to call home, but I’m struggling to find the right place for me. I’m hoping that posting here might help me connect with people with similar interests. I’m looking for a guild that:

  1. Gchat, not Discord. I don’t mind Discord being there for voice during raids or group events, but when I’m playing, I’m in game and most of the guilds I’ve joined have dead gchat while Discord is hopping out of world. I certainly understand why people have it and what its benefits are, but just like some people like Classic, I like gchat. Ideally, the best guild for me would rely heavily on gchat and in-game socialization.

  2. Interest in Lore. The right guild would be open to discussing lore, and even some light RP type stuff. I usually have a backstory for my characters, so I’m not against RP, but I tend to be more lore heavy than creative RP. I don’t consider myself an RPer, but I do like the community and I’m very interested in lore.

  3. Socializing, in general. A group that enjoys socializing is ideal. Some guilds have delayed my application until they start raiding. I’m not looking for strategic partners for loot. I’m looking to have friendship and socialize. I would love to accomplish things with those friends (delves, transmog runs, raids, whatever) but I’m primarily looking for friends to play the game with, not human npcs to further my goals.

  4. Older players. The ideal guild would have a lot of middle aged or older players, or young people with maturity. Basically, I’ve got a family, a house, a job and the game doesn’t come first. It would be nice to be surrounded by people who understand that.

  5. Fun-loving. It’s weird that I have to include this in a videogame, but I’m mostly looking to have fun and escape into a virtual world. If you stand in the fire, I’m more inclined to laugh than yell at you. I expect the same. I still get tickled when stupid stuff happens, and I would prefer to be around people who don’t view the game as a job. I respect the time of others and don’t try to ruin things, but I also don’t enjoy drama and rage.

  6. I would prefer a guild on this server. I like running into my guildies in world!

I should mention I’m east coast and mostly play on evenings and weekends.

Well, if you can define “a lot” of older people as 2 or 3, then i might know a guild that fits your descritption. Might pose a problem if youre looking to stick alliance side…

Feel free to find one of us in game, if youre on horde side. Edd and i are leveling alts getting a feel for what we want to play PvE wise. We aim to do some of RP stuff, and as long as someone is online we’re talking in gchat. Dont currently even have a discord, but have plans to make one sooner or later.

Goodness, that sounds amazing. I’ll be watching this space to hear from guilds who might fit that description. I might also be interested.

Same, that’s the kind of guild I’d like but it seems a real unicorn these days.

Have you ever thought about joining a good ole friendly Scarlet faction that is very keen about the lore it believes and advocates this through multiple posts on the forums and citations through out in game sources and books to prove our beliefs? Then you should consider joining the !

we mainly use discord when we arent on or to post updates or tips or stupid memes. we rarely use voice chat, and most stuff is said in gchat. you can talk to any of us when we are on to get a feel for how we are if you are interested.

we mainly do passive recruiting. and a lot of us have un regular playtimes due to work, pets, dr appts etc…

we have alliance and horde chars, but skew primarily to alliance
