Sorry for the upcoming wall of text. I have been playing this game for ages but have never really raided. A lot of time in the past, my real life has not permitted me to commit to specific raid times consistently enough for me to feel it would be worth it for myself or a guild. I now find myself in a situation where my free time is a bit more open and my schedule for work is predictable. I am hoping to find a guild that will take me under it’s wing so I can finally step into raiding.
What I am Looking for:
I can commit to raid times between 11 PM - 4 AM PST Thursday-Saturday. 95% of the time. I will be honest however, my wife has a rotating schedule so if one or both of her nights off lands on a raid night, then spending time with her will take priority.
The worst-case scenario is missing 4 raid times a month (assuming 2 raid nights a week) with the way her schedule works. 3 nights a week this total would go up to 5. Her nights off move back one day each week (Sat & Sun would be Fri & Sat the next week) so this is highly predictable but because of this a 2 night a week guild is a less ideal fit. Raiding 3 nights a week on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday or Raiding for a long time on just one of those nights would likely make more sense for you and for me.
What I wish to play:
Ideally, I wish to play a Shadow Priest, I can off-spec either disc or holy depending on what the guild needs. The second choice is a Ret off-spec Prot Paladin or third an elemental off-spec resto Shaman. If a priest simply won’t work but your guild is a good fit otherwise I am happy to compromise on my main choice.
Other relevant information:
I am fine to use discord or other voice comms, I have a good headset and have nothing that would prevent me from talking during the above times.
I do have a son who is still quite young so there may be minor interruptions should he wake up and need to be put back to bed (10 ish mins on average to do this)
Outside of raiding, I will be online most nights for at least an hour or two and am happy to run mythic dungeons, legacy raid mog runs, etc
I am happy to transfer to any US server for the right guild and faction does not matter.
I know there are a lot of restrictions here and I will definitely understand if it is just too much of a headache. These are the trials of a person who is trying to shove the round peg of real-life commitments into the square hole of trying to make raiding work finally
Thank you for reading!
