I’ve been passively playing on and off for years.
Recently I quit Dota so I’ve lost that “default” game that’d I’d sit down and play after work or in my free time. And I’m looking to replace it with WoW.
The most fun I’ve ever had playing wow was back in WoD when I was in a guild that consisted mostly of my coworkers. We raided and did Dungeons together and that’s really all I can remember tbh.
I want to belong again. Idc what server. I’ll start over and move if needed. I just want a group to belong to. Looking to play regularly. Fit whatever role is needed. I usually main Healer/DPS but I’d love to learn to tank properly. I’m hoping to ramp up with whatever group and play through midnight with yall. I’m in central timezone and have a pretty normal 9-5 M-F job.
My only “requirement” for a group is having a discord. Mostly because I’ve been in a couple guilds that didn’t have one and it always falls apart when you can’t keep in touch outside the game.

With pre-patch right around the corner, recruitment season is officially back — and Eternal Embers is tossing the bucket back into the water to bring in some fresh energy and innovation.
We formed late in The War Within and made solid progress before the inevitable raider burnout hit. We took a short break over the holidays to reset, and now we’re back with vengeance.
If you’re looking to be part of a team that aims high, values teamwork, and wants to push toward CE without sacrificing sanity, this might be the place for you.
Goals – Midnight Season One
Our goal is to push to the penultimate Mythic boss.
If we get CE — awesome.
If not, no sweat. Right now we’re focused on building a strong push mentality, tightening teamwork, and setting ourselves up for long-term success.
What We Expect From You
A can-do attitude — no negativity on progression nights
Solid knowledge of your class and how it interacts with encounters
Willingness to give and receive constructive suggestions (this is a team game mode)
We provide raid consumables, but having a personal backup is always smart.
All gear must be gemmed and enchanted prior to raid — if not, you’ll be asked to sit until it’s handled. Standards matter because everyone’s time matters.
We only raid two days a week, so gearing outside of raid is important. The upside? More M+ groups, more IO, more loot — and let’s be honest… if you look good, you play good .

Wednesday & Thursday
9 PM – 12 AM EST
(8–11 CST | 7–10 MST | 6–9 PST)
If we’re close to a kill, we may do a few extra pulls — but if anyone needs to leave, we end the night and start fresh next raid day. No pressure.

Hey Banken, I always feel weird writing these things but I want to throw my guild’s name out there. I actually started this guild for the exact reasons you’re describing here. I have a lot of good memories of doing all kinds of stupid things with my guild in the past from raiding, dungeons, world PvP on major faction cities, ect. That was long ago and all my guild friends from way back largely faded out of the picture and I played WoW solo mostly.
I was also frustrated that joining a guild felt a bit more like trying out for the cheerleading squad rather than hanging out with my friends. There’s such an emphasis on doing well, performing great, and keeping in shape or you’re cut from the team. And, I’m a grown middle age man, I honestly just want to kick back with my friends and enjoy myself when I play the game.
I don’t think my guild’s for everyone, but Fireside Sanctum’s aim is to just collect people that genuinely want to make friendships, even over progression and big achievements. We plan to raid and we plan to do the M+ thing come Midnight, but honestly if we suck, I don’t care that much. My philosophy is that I’d rather lose with friends than win with people who don’t even want me outside whatever numbers I can pull.
We’ve been just putzing around for the last couple months in game. Some of us are helping new players level up, some are just focusing on housing, some of us are helping players who have never experienced M+ and more difficult content learn the mechanics of it all and get better as players. Some people are climbing the ladder and playing Heroic Dungeons. We don’t have any main guild activities right now outside of hangout with eachother and lend eachother a helping hand if needed. But, again, we do plan on raiding and whatnot come Midnight. We also do have a discord. No one has to use it but all are welcome.
