LF Druid to Help with Black Rook Moan Achievment (Horde, Khaz Modan)

Hello!

I am a returner after a few years absence.

I’m a 60-ish Tauren Hunter on Khaz Modan, and I have two achievements remaining to earn Glory of the Legion Hero to earn that pretty purple feathermane.

I just have to wait for Festerface (might be THIS week, eee!) ‘I Made a Food!’.

But I can’t figure out a way to solo the ‘Black Rook Moan’ achievement and need a druid’s help.

The achievement is in the Legion dungeon Black Rook Hold on Mythic difficulty. As I understand it:

  1. We go in and clear to the first boss, which is very fast.
  2. I can naked-dps the boss (Amalgam of Souls) to around 40%, at which point, the boss summons a number of adds called Restless Soul. Each Restless Soul add paths towards the boss and empowers that boss if it connects.
  3. YOU the awesome helping druid, will pick any of the Restless Soul adds and ROOT it in place! Now keep it rooted for a full minute.
  4. After a minute, the Restless Soul will become a Frustrated Soul (they could have just named it Wow Player - badumTISH). We kill that Frustrated Soul, and then kill the Amalgam of Souls.

POOF!

We get the achievement.

I tried a few times to get anybody’s attention in-game, but… I’m old and do not use Discord. Nobody talks. Then I remembered that every now and then… a player with an actual problem posts here and will be offered in-game help from someone browsing along.

I thought I’d try that :smiling_face: Some good old fashioned internet-ing, hehe. “He went to the forums for help.”

If yer a 60-80 druid with 10 minutes to spare, and a mythic lockout still open for Black Rook Hold on this Monday, wanna meet a silly Tauren?

Lagaidh - I’m currently hanging out in Orgrimmar near the Azsuna portal on Khaz Modan.

I even have the Sandstone Drake. Relax and I can drive us right up to Black Rook Hold!

(Oo! The excitement builds. I’ve had two Netherwings tamed for YEARS and only have two achievements to go!)

I have a bit of gold if I need to hire you. Such a simple ask is worth a few K at least, yeah?

(If I have broken a forum rule, please understand, I’m old and just baaaaarely on the ol’ spectrum. This is an autistically honest post requesting help and old southerners fight to pay for your help. Ever do a chore for a southern grand parent? Just TRY and leave without money. You’ll find it stuffed in your pant cuff.)

Incidental helped me get the achievement.

And for the curious. /whisper Name-ServerName would not work even though we were both online. What did work?

/invite Playername-ServerName

Then we were a talkin! And getting that achievement in less time than I’d estimated.

He wouldn’t accept a single gold either.

Welp. I think Festerface is due to spawn for my server/cluster tomorrow after the reset.

One achievement left for that purple hooptymane!

I’ve been back playing for one month after quitting in 2021 (less a winterveil visit in 2022) and I gotta say… Things are so much better… Well. In DF anyway.
