Hello, Once upon a time back in Vanilla and Burning Crusade days I once had a addon that would do a audio alert when Nightfall had proc’d - it would go “SHADOW TRANNCCEE”
Is there a addon similar? I am looking into leveling a warlock, but trying to rebuild my nostalgic interface with addons I had back in the day.
Sounds like something weakauras would do.
Unfortunately, I cant make them or I would.
The app “Necrosis” used to do that for Vanilla, Burning Crusade, and Wrath. One of my favorite apps - I wish they kept it alive.
Yea, a WeakAura can be built. Not too hard. You’ll need the audio file because it isn’t in the base kit, but easy enough to set up the rest.
Edit: I should be able to make it if people want. But I didn’t play lock then, so I’ll need details on what it looked like.
Well boys and girls, I fooled around with it for a while… and was successful.
I don’t know what this is supposed to look like, but the audio file is working and the aura is simply a “Nightfall” notice. I can change anything about it anyone wants.
So, the set up. Weakauras 2. Just add https://www.dropbox.com/s/3gxspb8oz4gqv4b/ShadowTrance.ogg?dl=0 into your interface folder (Just interface, not addons). You have to right click and put in a new folder next to your addons folder named “Custom”. You can check it out if you’re skittish, it’s only the audio file nothing more. Once the file is added, you’ll have to close out wow entirely.

I’m horrid at explaining things. In case someone with no skills comes around:
Step 1: Open Wow in file manager.
Step 2: Navigate to retail\Interface\
Step 3: Create a new folder named “Custom” (case sensitive)
Step 4: Download the audio file https://www.dropbox.com/s/3gxspb8oz4gqv4b/ShadowTrance.ogg?dl=0 and place it into your new folder.
Step 5: Import the string for the WeakAura at https://wago.io/SbUnZCFaB
Step 6: Completely reboot wow (so it will recognize the audio file).
Any change requests or other medium difficulty auras, hmu.
