Is the only source of this irradiated herbs?
Haven’t found a transmute that gives them, and WowHead only list herbing as a source.
I have the irradiated talent maxed and after and hour of herbing I found two irradiated nodes and got 2 leyline residue. When you need 10 for oil, this seems extreme.
Yup, the herbs are the only source for the residue and to add insult to injury, the last node of the irradiated wheel has no bearing whatsoever on your residue yield! I mean I do not mind the duplicate herbs, but I would very much prefer something along the line of the altered wheel or crystalized. Hell crystalized isn’t filled at all and am swimming in the damn things.
When it comes to it, spores aren’t in a much better place either for yield. Suspect the bots are farming mostly in the deeps or spiderlands so it balance the problem. Watch this if they decide leyline is where the gold is!
You can get them from the chaos transmute. Chaos is basically a giant slot machine that can give any gathered reagent in the game (and some not gathered like horticulture). It’s hilarious. It can also be gotten from mercurial blessings and storms transmute (less chaos! Not as fun!)
The best way to get leyline residue would have been to join Teishoku’s guild catch-up seed party where I threw down 25 irradiated seeds and everyone walked away with 60ish leyline residue each, along with new season party favors like Darkmoon firewater. Alas!
Try circling around the isle of dorn, there’s a lot of leyline there.
Gee, how long did it take you to get 25 of those dang seeds? Even with 5 flower pickers those are far between! Sounds like an awesome party too!
I gimped myself by running perception for several weeks. Perception gives you a very tiny chance to get more rare stuff at the cost of a huge loss to regular herbs, but it’s the only way to get more seeds, if only one or two…
But yeah it took 3 weeks of farming. XD
It was glorious though. Everyone was getting blasted in all directions. People were getting yet more irradiated seeds by herbing the irradiated herbs. A couple of random dudes found us and also started planting irradiated seeds.

We had a explode-a-thon mining party and a skinning/bee/kill the raid tanks with lures/mount farm. Seven people got their bee mount now and all the skinners have a bajillion skins and writhing sample. We are all excited for next season!
