Levitation is such a key part of this class’s identity that it’s integrated into character creation and is active in the character select (warband) screen. That said, my priest is rarely levitating. Since any damage taken cancels the buff, staying levitated in a Dungeon/Raid/Delve/Questing/ or doing anything other than sitting around in a major city is impossible as you are guaranteed to take damage (heck you can even take damage while using harvesting professions these days). Meaning that this CORE element of the class is rarely, if ever, used.
Why has Blizz made this choice? If it’s a PVP “balance” issue, fine. Remove the cancel on damage for PVE and keep it for PVP. I can’t think of any other argument for keeping it as it is.
Anyway, my 2-cents.

I’d like a new choice talent incorporating that:
- Levitate is not cancelled on damage, but you still take damage when you try to levitate over ground effects
- Levitate IS cancelled by damage, but you take no damage from ground effects as you float over them
If we can’t sprint or blink across ground effects when we get separated from our group, I will accept a conciliatory class fantasy of instead letting us float gracefully over them like an eldritch old god entity from beyond.

Honestly I want divine ascension taken out of pvp talents and given to pve. let us combo it with other spells like divine hymn so we are like a zenyatta tranquility ult from overwatch.
Or let levitate give us dr to ground effects and not break, maybe give us 10% ms on top of it. Im pretty sure back in shadowlands like beta there was a soulbind thing that gave ms to levitate but it was scraped when live hit and I was kinda pissed.

I think that would bring some really unique flavor and fun for Holy.
At times it maybe busted to be flying around and able to cheese mechanics. But I say so what to that as if other classes don’t have ways to cheese things.
Might be a stretch but I wanted Power Infusion and Twins talent removed and replaced with a spec specific talent for each spec and for Holy, it would be Divine Ascension and then the follow up talent you can either give Divine Ascension to another player or your group when you use your Divine Ascension. That way you can bypass areas like in m+ or fight mechanics and it’s a fun ability to use.

I’d also love a Levitate actually had the same casting/hovering animations that we see during the voidform phase.
Also VERY IMPORTANT - A glyph to remove the sparkly effects! Feels too out of place with Shadowform. The other option (the farts) somehow manages to be even worse.
Or at the very least let the sparkles be affected by Shadowform’s color.
Another cool thing I’d add is a similar effect to Monk’s Meditate float, letting us fully explore aerial spaces at a slow pace when able.
Priests have been asking for things like removing the sparks from levitate for years but they don’t care… but hey shamans got their new ascendance vfx
priest is a class forgotten by god
