Hey guys,
I’m finally playing Warlock (Affliction for now) after so many different characters, and the last change to Sow the Seeds was the turning point to me. IMO, this became the most amazing AoE spell in the game, not only the damage is now good, but also the visuals, the mechanics, etc.
However, I’m immediately noticing one thing:
Everything on the Warlock seems harder, slower, or plain awkward when comparing to other classes. I remember an old stamement I heard many years ago, and it now makes sense to me - “Why can’t Warlocks have nice things?”
I’d like to leave my view here. Of course it’s a noob view, and more focused on questing/leveling, but sometimes a new player can see something from different angles, maybe.

I’ve never gained so many circumstantial/support/useless abilities on other classes, comparing to Warlock. Subjugate Demon, Ritual of Doom… Even the Hunter recently got a PvP ability (Chimaeral Sting) with all debuffs merged into a single ability, but Warlocks still have 3 different curses that could be simply merged into one. I sense I have so many buttons to press now with Warlock, but only a few do nice/effective things.
-
Now I’m playing Warlock, I have no more ways to leave combat, and I can’t even choose Night Elf. How many times have I been stuck in combat (a known bug that happens many many times to me). Dropping aggro is also very important while questing.

Healing my pet (demon) now requires standing still and channeling. Try playing Hunter for a long time and then migrate to Warlock. Unecessary lack of quality of life here.
-
Reviving my pet now takes 6 seconds. OMG. And to solve this seems they created another ability to reduce the casting time, but then you have to add this extra ability to a macro, and even by doing this this you still get a 0.5 summoning time (just to not make it instant). Why so much complexity just to summon a demon (which is not even that powerful to begin with). Why things can’t be instant for Warlock?
-
Burning Rush is my only movement ability, but taking it means my pet will take a lot of damage and even die. Then combine it with the already mentioned issues with pet healing and pet reviving. I feel in a trap. Must choose between questing without any speed boost, or questing with a pet that querires healing (standing still healing) all the time.

I tried to play with all lvl 15 talents, until noticing that casting Shadow Bolt on Affliction is the most boring and unrewarding thing ever. This is probably the only filler that does nothing. Took me a few minutes to understand that Drain Soul is clearly THE Affliction filler, but then you have an entire talent row locked.
