This toon was created and taken to the pet battle daily near halfhill. He picked up a little XP getting there (discovering areas) but since then has only done that one pet battle. He should be 120 some time in the next couple of weeks.
Leveling the toon was not the goal but rather leveling pets, I found with login do the daily then logout i could get the most out of the pet treats so i created a bunch of humans during MoD, ported them to the shrine and flew them to pet dailies. Over the years i have moved some of them around but this one i know has remained in one spot.
Just curious if anyone else had ever done anything like this.
Edit: This isn’t totally clear what i have done is take this toon from level 1 to 119 now and should hit max level some time in the next couple of weeks.

It feels horribly long and boring man especially knowing that from 110 to 120 takes 1hour now woth the XP boost :’(

Its most certainly unique though so i mean. You should go through with it! Its a little bit like the guy that leveled a factionnless Pandaren up to level 120. Never left the starting zone. Take a few screenshots along the way and keep it updated!
His point was to level pets not his character.

But this was level 1 - 120(soon) and yes a level 1 can stand at the pet battle and not agro anything. You can even run to the mailbox in Halfhill for more pet treats.
What would Doubleagent on Mannorath server have to say about this?

If you’re not in a hurry, wait for the pet battle weekly to be active and the pet battle against Squirt in your garrison to be up. The battle is repeatable and you can take a lvl 1 pet to lvl 25 in two fights. Great way to build up an army of high level pets for other battles.
I tend to level alts in groups. I sometimes finish a level with a pet battle. The last few years I’ve also done 85-90 doing mop pet dailys. It’s not the fastest but, when you do multiple toons. Breaking it up helps. So my new method is 1-2 dungeons per day per toon I’m leveling. You can start mop at 80 now so I go there. Sometimes I que dungeons while flying between tamers. Then the timeless port to draenor. Open garrison and treasures to 98. After that invasions when they are up until 111. 111-120 varies some.
I found Pet Battles very fast to level with in MoP @ Valley of the Four Winds near Halfhill. Pet Battle in between dungeon queues from level 15 until level 90.
Once you hit 90, dungeons suck because no quests and yeah, better off just questing.
Really not that hard, pet battles give 50-60% of a quests XP and can be finished in a matter of seconds. Personally when I do it I use Mistfall Village in the vale.
Most aquatic family and the stable master is right there.
A strong flyer with a smidge of sustain can murder most groups, a P/P Brilliant Bloodfeather is my go to for it.
Lots, not me though, well I did once. In Frostfire Ridge there is a certain wild battle pet that respawns instantly after beating it. I just flew there and battled it repeatedly on my 80 I think?
I think it was my priest that I did that with back in MoP. Most of her levels came from wandering around VotFW doing pet battles. It did get rather boring, so I think I did a few other things on occasion though.
I also had one character that I leveled mostly through archeology. And my hunter got most of her xp by killing animals to use for leatherworking mats. I think I barely got enough leather to keep her LW at a reasonable level to craft gear for her.
After the first few characters, I found having a couple goals to work towards at the same time really helps out.
What i was asking was if anyone else had ever leveled from 1 to 120 by only doing that one pet battle daily not if people parked toons at a daily.

A few seconds? Those fights do not take a “few seconds”. I was trying out that spot years ago for leveling pets but also wanted to see the xp/h. It wasn’t that good. Even if you combine it with dungeons it’s really boring. But it is another option to leveling nonetheless. Back when I was leveling I noticed a few people(botters) out there as well.
As for the duration of the fights vs aquatics(not the flying ones that might randomly appear) should be between 2-3 rounds per pet. I think it takes around 1-2 minutes per fight.
I leveled several characters from 1-110 solely by doing pet battles in the (old) Vale during pet battle weeks, or when I wanted to watch movies on another screen but still do something productive in game.
Recently leveled my rogue from 110-120 during the last pet battle bonus week. 
It’s not bad xp.
Edit: I see you were specifically asking about people just doing a single pet battle daily every day to level.
No… I don’t like logging onto alts unless I’m going to be playing them for a decent length of time.
I leveled a dark iron from 50 to 110 with pet battles ( xp was too low prior to around 50~). Just fought wild pets during the double xp pet battle weeks to level tons of pets that i then sold. ez xp. even easier xp now i’m sure with the 100% xp buff.
I’ve got a helper doing the battles for me and then I turn them in. Only thing is, I’m greedy for more.
