Leveling speed

Hello,

So a youtuber recently made a video that leveling is much too fast in the open world. Supposedly he, and other people i’ve heard from, are saying they are out-leveling zones too quickly - fex: dun morogh into loch modan where loch modan was mostly out-leveled.

If this is the case I think its need to be brought down a notch

I get there are way more quests now but the exp probably needs a slight nerf because we shouldn’t be out-leveling and skipping zones

Is that with or without dungeon quest xp?

I think it was without

RP-PvP definitely helps with slowing down the leveling process. Seems like something you should ask Blizzard for.

I agree. You should have to do Dun Morog, Elwyn Forrest AND Terrisfall before going to the Loch.

I wonder if they increased xp for lower levels for launch to get people out of the starting zones.

Huge reach, but, idk.

With a leveling guide, once someone gets to level 20, it takes around 6 hrs per level. I can most certainly say that TUG’s leveling guide on Alliance is horrific.

I don’t care if I out level a zone.

“Some YouTuber.” Who cares? Streamer experience is irrelevant to everyone else’s.

It wasn’t a streamer it was just a random guy that makes WoW videos

Can we stop with all the calls to nerf xp everywhere? It’s fine that some quests and mobs go grey before you’ve done everything in a zone. You don’t have to complete everything, and if you personally feel that you want to, you can still go ahead even though the mobs don’t reward xp and the quest xp is reduced.

Some of us actually like the idea of levelling up from time to time.

Stop with the dungeon spam troll posts.
One of the best things about the game launching is all these annoying posts will disappear once it goes live

I can do this on Vanilla “ERA” as horde, its not hard if you are good at leveling. I literally throw quests away when leveling horde characters.

Allies is a little different, its slower and more critical that you dont miss some things, but the speed is from 1-30 about the same.

Seemed like it took about the same amount of time. Same points of running out of quests too

This is false, the numbers showed the 1-30 in Classic and 1-30 in Forever are about the same.

A few things have skewed people’s conceptions.

  1. Level cap in beta - People forget that the true leveling grind in any Vanilla-era based game of wow is the later leveling, usually about 45-60. Fewer zones to choose from, significant upticks in difficulty in completing dungeon content, and there may still even be some mob grinding at the end, though I doubt it.

  2. Legacy Points - The beta giving everyone legacy points enabling them to essentially get five extra levels of talent points enabled leveling and grinding mobs for quests to be even faster than it will be on launch.

  3. Gear farming - With the cap so low, many people were able to farm gold and gear for subsequent alts, giving them a leg up from the start.

Relax, the leveling will be on par with Classic speed in most cases, maybe slightly faster since there should be more quest options at higher levels.

It was MadSeasonShow. His video enttitled: WoW already has it’s first controversy.

His point it that the leveling speed may be the same because now people are maxing out their professions at the same time they are leveling from about 1-20 and sitting at campfires and such, so because there are more quests and the XP is a bit higher they are outleveling the zone, but also his point is that it seems the mobs are easier to handle than in classic. Watch the video, he makes good points about what he likes.

No it wasn’t him

Who was it? He does mention what you had posted about, so he is of the opinion that you mentioned.

I see what you did but I wont expose him just in case im sure you can find him easily these days

   It’s all you’re going to see on these forums. What a copium overdose.

With all this content added, they need to nerf mob XP in the open world as well the same amount as dungeons in my opinion.

Mob killing spam outside of dungeons should be cut just like mob killing spam in dungeons is.
