What’s the best spec for leveling from 110? And why?

Combat is best for leveling or under-geared rogues, assassination for end-game and subtlety if you enjoy being "different."
Subtlety is by far the best imo suuuuuuper mobile and just a genuinely fun play style
I did a bunch of testing (my rogue is 70 atm)
With heirloom weps and armor, as assassination you can:
stealth
Mark for death
5 point envenom
Mutilate
2-4 pt envenom
And the mobs will be dead or just about dead.
The key here is the spec - Elaborate planning, master assassin, marked for death.
Mutilate gets bonus combo points if either hand crits, so the typical case is a second 3-pt envenom and everything has a bonus 50% crit chance.
Outlaw probably has more consistent damage but this combo with outlaw doesn't hit quite as hard. Even though the finisher deals much more damage, the 50% crit on your 3 hits as assassination makes up for it.
