I don’t care about speed, just wanted to have fun, challenge myself, and actually read all the quests - I have played since 2005 but I have forgotten a lot over time. What Chromie Time do you all like?
I think most players would say Legion or WoD.
I think Legion would depend on class. I think Legion as a fresh Paladin is awkward AF(why are all the most famous, accomplished and powerful Paladins in the world bowing to a level 10, fresh off the Newbie Island Paladin), but Legion is fantastic on a Rogue or Death Knight, and tailor-made for a Demon Hunter, for example.
MoP is a favorite of mine, still beautiful even all these years later, it aged pretty well.
Kun’lai Summit, in particular. It looks pretty realistic, for WoW at least.
Still probably the biggest mountain range in the game, alongside Zandalar mountains.
Warlords is a fun story, so is legion but you’ll miss out on a lot of content in legion since there’s so much.
my Pally is in the mid-30s atm, and I am debating staying in Cataclysm or moving to BFA.
I fully intend to pause xp before I hit max chromie time level so I can do an entire story before getting kicked out of Chromie Time.
If I’m going to do quest only leveling, I pick either MoP or BfA. I really love the zones and the stories within them. Can’t wait for MoP Classic.
Legion or BFA I would say.
I lean towards Legion.
If youre thinking of going monk, mists is the best expansion for the vibe of the class.
Legion is great in general but ive burnt myself out on it. So not great for tooo many playthroughs.
Bfa is great on alliance side. A drag on the horde side.
-
Do Legion and until you get the Dalaran hearthstone, unless it’s in the toy box by default now, then skip this step.
-
Do WoD until you get your Garrison built and that hearthstone. Same skip applies.
-
Do whichever expansion you miss the most, or weren’t around for, MoP is beautiful.
Due to scaling everything kinda falls over, not much challenge while leveling/
Legion or WOD for sure.
If both are new to you, go Legion, it’s rich in lore and fun and you get a cool artifact weapon.
WOD/building the garrison which is a requirement could be expensive if you’re not rich.
BfA simply to do Drustvar.
TBC to do Netherstorm.
Shadowlands from 50-60 because it’s speedy, plus I love Bastion and Revendreth.
Cataclysm has all the classic wow dungeons till you turn 60 and I think they are a blast, upon which i would switch to BFA ( which is awesome) or Shadowlands, even thought the gear is obsolete. I think Zandalar is one of the more beautiful cities, which impresses me more than topography. The BFA questlines are pretty smooth in my opinion.
