Leveling partner with Orc Warrior. Priest or Shaman? Fury or Arms?

So my level 30 warrior is going to level from 30 to 60 as a duo. My friend loves being a healer and has a similar level priest and shaman. Which pairs better with an Orc Warrior? Was considering staying arms with the priest or switching to fury if I go with the shammy. Any advise would be appreciated! TYIA.

Assuming you mean in Classic, I’d say Shaman. They’ve got more utility (including Windfury) and you don’t have to worry about them killing your rage generation by throwing PW:S on you.

I’d stick with Arms all the way up. Fury is better once you start getting geared but I found Arms worked out better while leveling (expect when I got unlucky and got a few misses/parries in a row with my 3.9 attack speed sword).

You might get more nuanced opinions on the Classic forum though. You can edit your OP to move the thread if you want.

Arms / any healer is a winning combo.

Priest is better for pvp due to dispel. Shaman might have a pve edge due to wf.

Winfury. If you’re priest, don’t bubble unless necessary. It starves their rage. Priest spirit tap is fun to level, neither of you will need to stop.

Yeah but sprit tap relies on priest always getting kb. Miss one or two in a row, and boom. Youre just like every other heavy drinker

Either spec is fine. I personally prefer arms if I’m on a pvp server. Regardless, don’t bother dual wielding while leveling. Your won’t have any hit rating so your miss rate is gonna be sky high. Use 2h instead for fury or arms.

Due to my guild’s warriors having a crippling addiction to Windfury, I’m going to assume Shaman.
