Leveling Mode idea

Now this wont be for everyone, specially the end game elitists. How many people don't finish zones or continents and have tons of quests leftover but wont go do them because they feel they will be doing them for nothing but gold or rep.

I know with scaling, out leveling zones isn't much of an issue any more, but you want to see all the quests and all the stories, but you want to move on as well to new zones.

There seem to be a million ways to gain xp so my idea is to have Modes, just like the way Warmode works.

Normal (default) -- 100% of base xp needed to gain a level
Heroic -- 150% of base xp needed to gain a level
Mythic -- 200% of base xp needed to gain a level

Once you ding a new level, a 5 minute timer starts, that is when you decide to change mode if you like. you can not change in the middle of a level.

in the higher levels, you would have more time to gather mats for crafted gear, Blizz would also need to make crafted gear for each level, or at least, every other level. OR crafted gear, when made, is the current level you are at, it wont scale with you like heirloom gear, but would have to be remade at the next level.

just an idea, I hear a lot of folks say leveling is too fast, especially in the expansions, this would give you more options on how fast you really want to level a certain toon.

Too complicated... They should just have too modes..

Normal
Ironman

If you die outside of an instance in Ironman, you die. Start over.
What about Hardcore mode! Where when you die, your character is deleted and you have to start over!

add that as well, that would be an insane mode to play, love it!
Better keep XP needed same, but scale mobs and XP gained. So that mythic leveling is tough, but gives better XP.
To me, the new freedom that 7.3.5 brings (you can choose 50+ quest hubs instead of 3 or 4 for "my level, unlocked" quests) just means you can level more alts while doing "new to me" quest lines.

So far I've leveled 5 alts since 7.3.5, and I started a 6th one yesterday. It's a goblin, so I am stuck re-doing the (updated, simplified) goblin quests until around level 12. That restriction exists for Goblins, Worgens, and Pandaren, but no other races.

But from 13 to 60 I'll be doing all new quests somewhere.

You want...you want...how many players want BOTH these conflicting things? Enough players for Blizzard to design and engineer a whole new system for them? I doubt it.

I have no objection to players wanting something. But Blizzard has to pick and choose, with limited resources. (They aren't limited by budget, but nobody can manage 500 people on one project. It simply doesn't work. )
